TERM 1 CARD GIVING & PTA MEETING | SAN JOSE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL🧑‍🏫🏫📚

San Jose Elementary School successfully conducted its Term 1 Card Giving and Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) Meeting, an important activity that strengthened the partnership between the school and our dear parents in supporting the learning and development of our learners.

The activity provided an opportunity for teachers to share learners’ academic progress, discuss strengths and areas for improvement, and work together with parents in providing appropriate support for their children’s continued growth and success.

The PTA meeting also served as a meaningful avenue for open communication, consultation, and collaboration on matters concerning the welfare, safety, and holistic development of our learners.

This activity is anchored on the principles of DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2026, which provides for the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar for School Year 2026–2027, and DepEd Order No. 31, s. 2012, which emphasizes the importance of meaningful parent-teacher conferences in discussing learners’ progress and providing appropriate interventions.

We sincerely thank our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, PTA officers, and the entire SJES community for their active participation and continued commitment to our learners.

📚 2ND DAY OF SCHOOL-BASED INSET | EMPOWERING TEACHERS FOR LEARNING IN EMERGENCIES🧑‍🏫🏫

The 2nd Day of the School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) at San Jose Elementary School focused on an essential and timely topic: the construction of Self-Guided Learning Sheets (SGLS) for Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) in Education in Emergencies.

Our Learning Resource (LR) Coordinator, Ma’am Armida F. Penalosa, comprehensively guided the participants through the step-by-step process of developing quality, learner-friendly, and self-directed learning sheets. Her discussion was particularly relevant amid the continuing class suspensions, providing teachers with practical knowledge and strategies to ensure that learning continues even during emergencies and disruptions.

The training was followed by a hands-on presentation workshop, where teachers worked collaboratively in constructing their own SGLS. In the afternoon, participants presented their outputs, demonstrating their understanding and application of the concepts and skills gained during the session.

The activity culminated in a Closing Program, highlighted by a meaningful message and challenge from our School Head, Loreto A. Penalosa Jr.,EdD. He challenged the teachers to transform their learning into action and ensure that every training experience translates into better teaching practices and improved learning opportunities for every learner.

Indeed, the 2nd Day of INSET was a day of learning, collaboration, creativity, and commitment—strengthening our teachers’ capacity to provide responsive and continuous education, especially during times of emergencies.

🚨 SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL | SEPTEMBER 9, 2026🏫🌏

San Jose Elementary School successfully conducted its Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (SED) today, September 9, 2026, as an advance school-based implementation of the 3rd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED)scheduled for September 10, 2026.

The activity was conducted ahead of the official NSED schedule due to the Term 1 Break of our learners, in accordance with the implementation of the Three-Term School Calendar under DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2026.

Through this activity, our teachers and learners actively demonstrated the essential “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure, proper evacuation protocols, and other safety measures to strengthen their preparedness and response during an earthquake or other emergencies.

The conduct of the drill underscores the school’s unwavering commitment to Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) and to ensuring a safe, prepared, and resilient learning environment** for everyone.

San Jose Elementary School successfully conducted its 1st Day School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on Strengthening Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM), Crafting Contextualized Self-Guided Learning Sheets, and Responsible ICT Integration for Enhanced Teaching and Learning, held at the newly repaired Learning Resource (LR) Room.

The session opened with our School Head, Dr. Loreto A. Penalosa Jr., who led an insightful discussion on Strengthening Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM) and facilitated the crafting of a classroom-based ADM Implementation Plan. His guidance emphasized the importance of responsive, flexible, and learner-centered approaches to ensure continuity and quality of learning.

The training was followed by an engaging and comprehensive session with our tech-savvy speaker, Ma’am Lovely Kris C. Uy, AO II, who discussed Responsible ICT Integration for Enhanced Teaching and Learning and facilitated a hands-on workshop on the utilization of Canva and SuryApp to maximize classroom efficiency and develop innovative, contextualized learning resources.

The activity was a meaningful avenue for our teachers to learn, collaborate, innovate, and enhance their skills in delivering quality and responsive education. It also demonstrated the school’s commitment to continuous professional development and the effective use of technology in addressing the diverse learning needs of our pupils.

School-Based Feeding Program distribution at SJES!
Today, September 9, the following Food packs were distributed to the 60 SBFP beneficiaries of San Jose Elementary School:
-3 Ready-to-Eat Fortified Meals-Champorado
-3 Iron Fortified Rice
-1 High Protein Biscuit
-1 Nutri-Cookie
-1 Cereal
-1 Popcorn
-6 Fruit Juice
=Total of 16 items per beneficiary!
Due to the mandate of DepEd, all kinder and grade 1 learners were all considered as beneficiaries.

At SJES we believe that healthy minds begin with well-nourished bodies. Through the School-Based Feeding Program, we are dedicated to supporting the health, growth, and overall well-being of our learners.
Every nutritious pack provided is a step forward toward a healthier, brighter future for our learners!

📚 MONITORING, SUPERVISION, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE.

San Jose Elementary School warmly welcomes and appreciates the visit of our dedicated District Supervisor, Sir Julio B. Lazaro, for the monitoring and supervision of the school’s implementation of the ARAL Program, Term 1 Catch-Up Plan, and the checking of school forms.

During the monitoring, Sir Julio B. Lazaro gave positive feedback and commendation to the teachers of San Jose Elementary School for their commitment, dedication, and systematic implementation of the ARAL Program and Catch-Up initiatives. He recognized the teachers’ efforts in addressing learning gaps and providing responsive interventions to learners who need additional support.

His encouraging words, constructive observations, and valuable technical assistanceserved as an inspiration to our teachers to continuously improve their practices and strengthen learning recovery efforts.
