The Catacdegan Elementary School family gathered for the Term 2 Staff Meeting on September 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM in the Grade 2 Classroom. The meeting provided an avenue for meaningful discussion, coordination, and shared commitment toward the effective delivery of school programs and activities.

Key matters discussed included the Recess Time Schedule, SIIF Matters, ARAL Program, Contextualized Lesson Plans/DLPs, SMEA Term 1 Results, District and Zonal Meets, Punctuality, and Teachers’ Facilitation.

Through open communication and collaborative planning, the CES team continues to work together in addressing school concerns and strengthening practices for better teaching and learning outcomes.

CLOSING PROGRAM AND AWARDING OF CERTIFICATES

The Catacdegan Elementary School successfully concluded its School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) with a meaningful closing program and the awarding of certificates to the dedicated and committed teachers of CES.

The activity recognized the active participation, commitment, and valuable contributions of the teaching personnel throughout the training. The knowledge, skills, and insights gained from the various sessions will serve as valuable inputs in strengthening classroom practices and improving learning outcomes.

The activity also highlighted the importance of continuous professional development, collaboration, and lifelong learning among educators.

DAY 2 | SCHOOL-BASED IN-SERVICE TRAINING (INSET)
September 10, 2026

The Catacdegan Elementary School teaching personnel continued the conduct of the School-Based In-Service Training (INSET) on Strengthening Teacher Competence in Content and Pedagogy, Classroom Management, Research and Innovation, and Digital Literacy for Inclusive Education on September 10, 2026.

The second day of the training featured four relevant and enriching sessions designed to enhance teachers’ professional knowledge, skills, and practices:

🔹 Strengthening Elementary Teachers on Content and Pedagogy thru HOTS-Based Strategies, facilitated by Ma’am Victoria B. Gallo, Master Teacher I;

🔹 Inclusive Education, facilitated by Sir Felix D. Ladiocan Jr.;

🔹 Empowering Teachers through AI: Crafting DepEd ILAW Daily Lesson using Canva AI, facilitated by Princess Jane S. Dagsi; and

🔹 Research Development/Action Research, facilitated by Sir Edwin S. Lumiwag, Principal I.

The sessions provided opportunities for teachers to deepen their understanding of HOTS-based pedagogy, inclusive education, artificial intelligence, and research, strengthening their capacity to respond to the diverse needs of learners and improve classroom practices.

Through continuous professional development and collaborative learning, CES teachers remain committed to advancing quality, inclusive, innovative, and learner-centered education.

Catacdegan Elementary School officially commenced its School-Based In-Service Training on Strengthening Teacher Competence in Content and Pedagogy, Classroom Management, Research and Innovation, and Digital Literacy for Inclusive Education.

Catacdegan Elementary School successfully conducted its 1st Term Parent-Teacher General Assembly and Card Giving Day, strengthening the partnership among teachers, parents, and learners.

The program started with a prayer led by Ma’am Donalyn P. Banza, followed by the Makabansa Song led by Ma’am Jeneline G. Domingo, and Welcome Remarks by Ma’am Victoria B. Gallo, Master Teacher I.

The activity provided an opportunity to discuss important school matters, share learners’ progress, and strengthen home-school collaboration.

🚨 SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL | SEPTEMBER 7, 2026 🚨

Catacdegan Elementary School successfully conducted a School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents today, September 7, 2026, strengthening the preparedness and emergency response capabilities of our teachers and learners.

The activity was made more meaningful through the support and active participation of the 2nd Abra Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC), led by PEMS Froileen A. Mina, Chief PCAD PNCO, under the supervision of PLTCOL Igan P. Ballangan, Force Commander.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Barangay Officials of Catacdegan Viejo and Catacdegan Nuevo, led by Brgy. Captain Nelson C. Towles and Brgy. Captain Erlinda B. Gumanab, for their valuable support and participation.
