On August 5, 2026, the Capiz State Universityโ€“Agribusiness Incubator (CAPSU-ABI) participated in the Joint Inception Meeting held at the CAPSU Board Room, Central Administration Building, Roxas City, Capiz.

During the meeting, Mr. Jimmy A. Loja Jr., Project Development Officer II/ABI Manager, presented the CAPSU-ABI Project, providing an overview of its objectives, implementation strategies, and initiatives to strengthen technology-based agri-enterprises through innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology commercialization.

Also present from the CAPSU-ABI Project Team were Irish Maxine V. Dalmacio, Project Technical Aide IV; Christian E. Linan, Project Administrative I; and Andrew James P. Laja, ABI Project Staff.

The activity was also attended by the University's key officials, led by Dr. Efren L. Linan, SUC President; Dr. Leo Andrew B. Biclar, Vice President for Research, Development and Extension; Dr. Stephanie S. Pimentel, University Research Director; Prof. French A. Dampog, IPMO Director and ABI Project Leader; Ms. Princess P. Palawan, University Research Associate II; Ms. Niรฑa L. Obeja, University Research Associate II; Prof. Princess Lydia S. Fuentes, ITSD Chief; together with personnel from the Central Administration, particularly the Budget Office, Accounting Office, and Cashier's Office.

The inception meeting served as an important platform to align project implementation plans, strengthen collaboration, and reaffirm the University's commitment to advancing innovation and supporting technology-based agri-enterprises through CAPSU-ABI.

Building on the accomplishments of the previous phases, this third phase aims to further strengthen technology-based agri-enterprises by enhancing their market readiness, expanding access to investment opportunities and financial sustainability mechanisms for incubatees, and reinforcing institutional policy support for the CAPSU Agribusiness Incubation Program. Through these initiatives, CAPSU-ABI continues its commitment to promoting innovation, technology commercialization, and sustainable agribusiness development.

Agricultural research, innovation, and technology commercialization remain among the University's priorities. Through its continued partnership with the Department of Agriculture โ€“ Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR), Capiz State University remains committed to advancing sustainable agriculture, strengthening food security, generating livelihood opportunities, and empowering rural communities.

The meeting was headed by the Project Leader and IPMO Director, French A. Dampog. During the meeting, the team discussed the rationale of the project, presented its objectives and upcoming activities, and introduced the new ABI Manager and staff.

The new ABI Manager, Mr. Jimmy A. Loja Jr., and the new Project Administrative I Staff, Mr. Christian E. Linan, were formally introduced to the team. Also present during the meeting were the members of the ABI Team.

This meeting marks the beginning of ABI Phase 3 as the team works together to strengthen innovation, entrepreneurship, and agribusiness development through the Agribusiness Incubator (ABI) at CAPSU. The initiative aims to provide quality support and services to its incubatees, foster sustainable agribusiness ventures, and create a positive impact on the community and society.
