𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 | 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧

Malacañang, through 𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗺 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭𝟮𝟮, 𝘀. 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, has ordered the 𝗦𝗨𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 in government offices and 𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗦 𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗟𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗟𝗦 in the National Capital Region and the provinces of Ilocos Sur, La Union, Benguet, Pangasinan, Abra, Zambales, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, Laguna, and Occidental Mindoro on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The suspension is in view of the continued heavy rainfall brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay and the Southwest Monsoon, upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).

Agencies delivering essential and emergency services shall continue their operations. The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

To all Laurelians, your safety remains our utmost priority. Stay indoors when possible, remain alert, and monitor official announcements from the University and relevant government agencies for further updates.

May mga laban na hindi para sa ngayon lamang, kundi para sa mga bukas na hindi pa isinisilang.

Kung ang kapalit ng tinatawag na progreso ay ang ating kalikasan, kabuhayan, at kinabukasan, progreso pa bang matatawag ito?

Ang tunay na kaunlaran ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa dami ng oportunidad na nalilikha, kundi sa kakayahan nitong pangalagaan ang ating kalikasan, likas na yaman, at kinabukasan ng bawat Pilipino.

Bilang kinatawan ng mga estudyante, buong paninindigang ipinahahayag ng Supreme Student Council JPLPC Malvar ang pagtindig laban sa proyektong Pax Silica. Mariin naming pinaninidigan na ang anumang uri ng pag-unlad ay hindi dapat isulong kung ang kapalit nito ay ang posibilidad ng pagkasira ng kalikasan, panganib sa suplay ng tubig, at pagkakaapekto sa kabuhayan ng ating mga magsasaka—mga pangambang patuloy na inilalahad ng iba't ibang sektor.

Bilang mga lider-estudyante at iskolar ng bayan, may tungkulin tayong magsalita at manindigan sa mga usaping may direktang epekto sa ating bayan. Naninindigan tayong ang bawat proyektong inilulunsad ay dapat dumaan sa malinaw na pananagutan, sapat na konsultasyon, at ganap na transparency. Hindi tayo dapat basta-basta makuntento sa mga pangako ng kaunlaran nang hindi sinusuri ang kabuuang epekto nito sa mamamayan at sa susunod na henerasyon.

Hindi lahat ng pag-unlad ay tunay na kaunlaran. Ang kaunlarang nagsasakripisyo sa kalikasan, kabuhayan, at kinabukasan ng sambayanan ay hindi progresong dapat nating ipaglaban.

Sa pagdiriwang ng 𝐁𝐮𝐰𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐢𝐤𝐚 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, kaisa ang 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 – 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 – 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐯𝐚𝐫 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 sa pagpapahalaga at pagsusulong ng wikang Filipino bilang mahalagang bahagi ng ating kultura at pagkakakilanlan.

Ang bawat salitang ating ginagamit ay sumasalamin sa ating kasaysayan, mga tradisyon, at mga pagpapahalagang nagbubuklod sa ating lahat bilang mga Pilipino. Sa patuloy na pagbabago ng panahon, nawa'y manatili ang ating pagmamahal at paggalang sa sariling wika, at gamitin natin ito nang may pagmamalaki sa loob at labas ng pamantasan.

As your leadership draws to a close and as you march towards the stage, we wish to acknowledge the legacy you have left behind. A legacy that no matter how many years pass, will endure and continue to be improved by the council's future leaders.

Beyond the successful events, your true repercussion lies in the voices you expatiate, the community you built, and the dedication you showed every single day. You turned big ideas into reality and challenges into opportunities for growth.

Sa bawat hakbang patungo sa pagtatapos, may mga kwentong hindi agad nakita—mga pagsubok na tahimik na hinarap, mga pangarap na patuloy na pinanghawakan, at mga sandaling nagturo sa atin na magpatuloy kahit mahirap ang daan.

Hindi naging madali ang paglalakbay na ito. May mga pagkakataong tayo ay napagod, nagtanong, at nag-alinlangan kung makararating pa ba tayo sa ating minimithing tagumpay. Ngunit sa bawat pagsubok, unti-unti nating nakilala ang ating sarili at natutunan kung gaano tayo kalakas.

Sapagkat ang pagtatapos na ito ay hindi lamang tungkol sa pagkamit ng isang pangarap, kundi tungkol sa taong nabuo sa bawat hakbang ng paglalakbay. Ang araw na ito ay patunay na ang bawat luha, sakripisyo, at pagsisikap ay may patutunguhan.

Ngayon, bitbit ang mga alaala at aral ng nakaraan, haharap tayo sa panibagong landas dala ang mas matatag na sarili at mas malalaking pangarap.

Today, we commemorate Mabini Day by honoring the life and enduring legacy of Apolinario Mabini, the Dakilang Lumpo and the Brains of the Philippine Revolution. Through his wisdom, unwavering principles, and steadfast patriotism, he demonstrated that true leadership is not measured by power or position, but by integrity, courage, and an unselfish commitment to the nation. His life reminds us that even in the face of adversity, one's convictions and dedication can leave a lasting impact on history.

As we celebrate his legacy, may we be inspired to embody the values he championed by leading with purpose, serving with sincerity, and standing firm for what is right.
