Launching and Orientation of Project TALA

In support of the Batangas 2.0: Project TALAS-DUNUNG and in compliance with Division Memorandum No. 373, s. 2026, Luta Norte Elementary School conducted the launching and orientation of Project TALA (Texts for Advanced Literacy and Achievement). The activity aimed to orient all teachers on the project’s goals, implementation guidelines, and practical integration into daily instruction — with the ultimate objective of advancing literacy skills and improving learners’ academic performance.

The activity began with the assembly of all teaching staff, eager to learn about the new literacy initiative. Mrs. Joy M. Gallon, School Principal, opened the program and provided a clear, comprehensive orientation on Project TALA. She presented the project’s goals, rationale, and significance in strengthening literacy among learners, emphasizing the critical role of teachers in its successful implementation.

A video presentation and visual slides were shown to give teachers a concrete understanding of the project. The presentation outlined the step-by-step processes and practical ways of integrating TALA into daily instruction, making the guidelines easier to follow and apply. Mrs. Gallon then guided the teachers on how to conduct the project activities effectively and appropriately, ensuring these align with the learning needs of every learner.

Throughout the session, teachers listened attentively and engaged in the discussion. They clarified points on implementation, delivery, and assessment, and gained confidence in using the TALA texts to support literacy development. The orientation concluded with the collective commitment: “Together, let’s make literacy a way of life.”

The launching and orientation of Project TALA at Luta Norte Elementary School was successfully conducted. The activity equipped teachers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and direction to implement the project effectively. With shared commitment and consistent action, the school is on track to empower literacy and elevate achievement among all learners.

Luta Norte Elementary School proudly participated in That’s My KAB 2026, held at Malvar Central School on August 1, 2026, with our very own Collin representing the school with confidence, grace, and enthusiasm.

Throughout the event, Collin proudly showcased his personality and talent as he confidently appeared in sportswear, Barong Tagalog, and the KAB Scout Uniform. His courage, determination, and cheerful spirit made the entire Luta Norte ES family proud.

While this year’s competition did not end with a championship title, Collin’s remarkable performance and willingness to step onto the stage are already victories worth celebrating. His confidence, sportsmanship, and perseverance truly embody the values of a young KAB Scout.

Luta Norte Elementary School expresses its deepest gratitude to Taihan Precision Technology (Phils.) Co., Inc. for donating school supplies and materials for children with special needs in the turnover ceremony held on July 31, 2026.

The donated educational and sensory materials will benefit the learners and staff of the Special Needs Education (SNED) Program by providing students with the resources needed to maximize their potential through engaging and interactive academic material.

By donating these materials, Taihan Precision Technology (Phils.) Co., Inc. demonstrated its commitment to making a difference in society through corporate social responsibility by giving back to the community.
