FIRST HOMEROOM PARENTS’ MEETING 2026

Strengthening the partnership between home and school for learners’ success, Bagong Pook Elementary School successfully conducted its First Homeroom Meeting for School Year 2026–2027 in all grade levels.

During the meeting, parents and guardians were oriented on important school policies, programs, and updates, with emphasis on the implementation of the Three-Term Learning System Reform Policy. The gathering also provided an opportunity to discuss classroom concerns, learner development, and ways to further support the educational journey of every child. The activity concluded with the election of Homeroom Parent Officers who will serve as partners of the school in promoting a productive and supportive learning environment.

EMPLOYEES CREDIT COOPERATIVE OF GCT TRANSPORT SERVICES DONATION

Creating a more comfortable learning environment for our learners, Bagong Pook ES expresses its heartfelt appreciation to the Employees Credit Cooperative of GCT Transport Services for the generous donation of four (4) stand fans for our learners.

This thoughtful support will greatly help provide better ventilation and comfort inside our classrooms, especially during warm weather conditions. Your kindness and generosity will surely benefit our pupils and contribute to a more conducive learning atmosphere.

LGU MALVAR DONATION

Building better learning spaces through community support, Bagong Pook ES extends its sincere appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Malvar for the generous donation of paint and various tools that will greatly contribute to the maintenance and improvement of our school facilities. These resources will help create a cleaner, safer and more conducive learning environment for our learners.

DISASTER READINESS DRILL

As part of the Second Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill 2026, Bagong Pook Elementary School joined in practicing proper earthquake response and emergency preparedness measures.

With the guidance of School DRRM Coordinator, Mrs. Maryjane G. Arrieta, learners and teachers actively participated in the drill by demonstrating the correct “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and orderly evacuation practices.

Together, we remain committed to building a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready school for all.

PERIMETER FENCE COMPLETION

As part of its continuing commitment to learner safety and school improvement, the Sangguniang Barangay of Bagong Pook, led by Hon. Lilibeth M. Lat, initiated and implemented the construction of a perimeter fence along one side of Bagong Pook Elementary School.

This project was undertaken to strengthen the security of the school premises and help ensure the safety and well-being of our learners by preventing access to potentially unsafe areas. The installation of the fence reflects the community’s shared commitment to protecting every child and providing a safe environment conducive to learning.

We extend our sincere appreciation to the Sangguniang Barangay of Bagong Pook for their support and dedication to the welfare of our learners. Through collaborative efforts such as this, we continue to build a safer and more learner-friendly school for all.

Promoting healthy learners through proper nutrition, Bagong Pook Elementary School gratefully received a bread donation from Gardenia Bakeries Philippines, Inc. The initiative brought joy and nourishment to our learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 making their school day more meaningful and memorable.

In addition to the donation, Gardenia also conducted a Nutrition Talk featuring the Go, Grow, and Glow food concept. Through this interactive session, learners gained valuable knowledge about balanced nutrition and the importance of making healthy food choices to support their growth and development.

MISTING OPERATION FOR DENGUE PREVENTION

As part of the preparations conducted during Brigada Eskwela, a misting operation was carried out within the school premises to help prevent the spread of dengue and ensure a safe and healthy environment for our learners.

This initiative was led by Barangay Captain Hon. Lilibeth M. Lat and Councilor Hon. Aguinaldo Unigo, whose continued support and concern for the welfare of our school community are truly appreciated.

ABOITIZ CONSTRUCTION DONATION

Demonstrating its continued commitment to education and community development, Aboitiz Construction Incorporated once again extended its generosity to Bagong Pook Elementary School through an additional donation of cleaning tools, paint brushes, paint, and cement materials. The donation was led by Mr. Kervy S. Datay, Project Director, together with his team, and was formally received by Mrs. Liza B. De Leon, School Brigada Coordinator.

We are truly grateful not only for this donation but also for the company's continued support and willingness to share its blessings with our school community.These materials will greatly contribute to the improvement and maintenance of our school facilities, helping create a cleaner, safer, and more conducive learning environment for our learners.

FIRST PARENTS’ ORIENTATION FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2026-2027

Strengthening school–home partnership for learners’ success and well-being, Bagong Pook Elementary School successfully conducted the First Orientation for Parents held on June 11 at the school gym.

The program officially started with the Bagong Pilipinas Hymn played through AVP, followed by an opening prayer. It was then followed by the welcome remarks and the discussion of the 3-Term Learning System Reform Policy by Dr. Mario L. Perez, Head Teacher III, which emphasized the school’s direction toward improved and quality education.

A Health Orientation was delivered by Nurse Charlotte A. Casuncad, highlighting essential health and wellness reminders for learners. This was followed by the Child Protection discussion led by Ma’am Maricel C. Rayos, focusing on the safety, rights, and welfare of every learner.

Teachers also shared important updates on learners’ classroom performance and other concerns during the opening block.

PRIORITIZING LEARNERS’ HEALTH AND WELL-BEING

Alongside the 1st Parents’ Orientation, Mrs. Charlotte Azel A. Casuncad, Nurse District, conducted an informative session on the importance of vaccination and deworming in promoting the health and well-being of our learners.

In line with DepEd Memorandum No. 050, s. 2025, which emphasizes student health and wellness, the Mandatory Learners’ Health Assessment was successfully conducted with the assistance of Nurse Charlotte. This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that every learner remains healthy, safe, and ready to learn. The health assessment has already been completed for Kindergarten and Grade 3 learners.

Nurse Charlotte will be returning soon to continue the assessment for the remaining grade levels. We extend our sincere gratitude to Nurse Charlotte for her dedication and invaluable service in supporting the health and welfare of our learners.
