Pantahan or 'Andayan' is a stilt structure built atop the shallow parts of coastal Maluso that stretched across. Made of wooden or concrete-reinforced pillars that served as its foundation, the platform is built with bamboo and wooden beams as flooring and support. These structures were vital for the drying process of huge batches of fish catches. As a coastal community dependent on fishing, Maluso has offered many opportunities to the natives and migrant families alike, owning this pantahan were akin to owning a small farming plot for livelihood.
