๐Ÿšจ PUBLIC ADVISORY

As a precautionary measure in response to Tropical Depression "KIYAPO" and the Enhanced Southwest Monsoon, and the forecast of moderate to heavy rainfall that may cause localized flooding and landslides, classes in ALL LEVELS, both PUBLIC and PRIVATE SCHOOLS in the Municipality of Malungon, are hereby SUSPENDED on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Students are advised to remain at home and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities. Parents and guardians are urged to keep their children away from rivers, creeks, flood-prone and landslide-prone areas. Everyone is encouraged to stay vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, and follow the directives of the Municipal Government.

Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao has signed Executive Order No. 45, s. 2026, lifting the alternative work arrangements under EO No. 33 and restoring regular government operations.

Effective July 16, 2026:

โ€ข Provincial Government offices shall resume regular office hours from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday to Friday.

โ€ข Schools shall resume classes through full face-to-face, blended learning, or alternative learning modalities, subject to the determination of DepEd, CHED, TESDA, and the respective school authorities based on the safety and readiness of their facilities.

In line with Executive Order No. 36, Series of 2026 and the ongoing class suspensions from June 22โ€“30, 2026, please be guided by the following allowed activities for next week.

These are strictly subject to safety clearance and feasibility as we continue to navigate the situation together.

๐Ÿ“‹ ALLOWED ACTIVITIES & LEARNING GUIDELINES

๐Ÿ’› Psychosocial Support

Psychological First Aid (PFA) and Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) may be conducted for both Teaching and Non-Teaching Personnel to support everyone's well-being.

โค๏ธ Skeletal Workforce

A skeletal setup in schools may be implemented *only* if deemed completely necessary and highly feasible.

๐Ÿ’š Continued Learning (Digital Access Only)

Online Classes:Conducted strictly through official platforms only (Google Meet, Zoom, MS Teams, etc.).

Modular Distribution:To ensure safety, only soft copies (NOT PRINTED) of DLP-LAS, learning packets, and other available learning resources will be distributed, strictly for learners with digital access.

๐Ÿงก Class Resumption Preparation

Other necessary preparations for the eventual resumption of classes will only take place once school buildings have been thoroughly cleared by Municipal Engineers or proper authorities.

๐Ÿ“ข CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY ๐Ÿ“ข

In compliance with Executive Order No. 36, Series of 2026 issued by the Provincial Government of Sarangani, classes in all levels (public and private schools) in Malungon District are suspended from June 22โ€“30, 2026.

Learners are advised to continue learning through the prescribed alternative learning modalities provided by the school. Further instructions regarding LAS, modules, and other learning resources will be communicated through our official school channels.

We encourage everyone to stay safe, remain informed, and follow all health and safety protocols.

๐Ÿ“ฃ PUBLIC ADVISORY: MDRRMC Memorandum No. 18 series of 2026

In light of the suspension of classes due to the effects of the Magnitude 7.8 Earthquake that struck the Municipality of Malungon on June 8, 2026, and upon the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), classes in all public and private schools in the Municipality of Malungon shall resume on Monday, June 22, 2026.

The resumption of classes shall be subject to the following conditions:

1. School buildings and other facilities must have undergone Rapid Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (RDANA) and/or structural inspection by the concerned authorities.
2. Only school buildings and classrooms that have been certified safe and fit for occupancy by the Municipal Engineering Office and/or other authorized inspecting agencies shall be utilized for face-to-face classes.
3. Schools with buildings declared unsafe, partially damaged, or requiring further assessment shall implement appropriate alternative learning modalities or temporary learning spaces until such facilities are cleared for use.
4. School heads shall ensure that:
* Emergency exits are unobstructed and properly marked;
* Evacuation areas are identified and accessible;
* Earthquake preparedness and evacuation protocols are reviewed with learners and personnel; and
* Emergency response teams within the school are activated and ready.
5. Parents, guardians, teachers, and learners are advised to remain vigilant and immediately report any observed structural defects or hazards within school premises.

All school administrators/principals are directed to coordinate closely with the MDRRMO, Municipal Engineering Office, and DepEd-Malungon District Office to ensure the safe and orderly resumption of classes.

This Memorandum shall take effect immediately.
