BUWAN NG WIKA 2026 | Setyembre 18, 2026

Matapos ang ilang pagpapaliban dahil sa mga class suspension, sa wakas ay naisakatuparan natin ang pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika noong Setyembre 18!

Sa temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” nagsama-sama ang mga SMAers upang kilalanin ang kahalagahan ng wikang Filipino sa pagkatuto, pananaliksik, at makabagong panahon.

Sa pamamagitan ng kanilang mga kasuotan, pagtatanghal, at iba’t ibang gawain, muling nabigyang-buhay ang ating wika at kulturang Filipino sa loob ng paaralan.

Bilang SMAers, nawa’y patuloy nating gamitin, pahalagahan, at pagyamanin ang ating wika—sa paaralan, sa komunidad, at sa ating pang-araw-araw na buhay.

POLARIS OVERNIGHT LEADERSHIP TRAINING | September 18–19, 2026

Leadership goes beyond holding a position—it is built through learning, working together, and serving others.

Our POLARIS officers came together for an overnight leadership training filled with meaningful activities, teamwork, planning, and moments that strengthened their bond as student leaders.

From developing leadership skills to preparing projects for the school year, the experience gave our officers opportunities to grow in responsibility, collaboration, and service.

May our POLARIS officers continue to lead with purpose, work with one another, and serve our school community with heart.

AUTHENTIC LEARNING AT SMA

Contemporary and Emerging Music and Arts of the Philippines and Southeast Asia

Our Grade 7 learners brought music beyond the classroom through a lively busking experience around the SMA campus!

As part of their lesson on contemporary and emerging music, they performed songs from the Philippines and Southeast Asia, allowing them to explore how music continues to evolve and influence society.

Through this experience, our learners nurtured their Musical Intelligence as they expressed themselves through rhythm, melody, performance, and collaboration—while sharing the beauty and diversity of contemporary music with the SMA community.

When learners find their rhythm, they discover new ways to express, connect, and shine!

MALOLOS CONGRESS ANNIVERSARY | September 15

Today, we remember the Malolos Congress, which opened on September 15, 1898, at Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. It brought together Filipino representatives who shared the responsibility of shaping the foundations of a new nation.

As SMAers, may we carry this spirit into our own community—by valuing different ideas, listening to one another, participating with purpose, and using our knowledge and abilities to contribute to the good of others.

May the story of the Malolos Congress remind us that building a better future begins with people who are willing to learn, speak up, and take part.

SMA SCHEDULE UPDATE | SEPTEMBER 14–18

One term comes to a close, and a new one begins! We thank our SMAers for the effort, perseverance, and learning they have shown throughout Term 1. Take this time to rest and recharge as we prepare for the start of Term 2.

Please take note of the upcoming schedule:

📌 Sept. 14 – Health Break / InSeT for Teachers
📌 Sept. 15 – Holiday (Anniversary of Malolos Congress)
📌 Sept. 16 – Term 2 Begins
📌 Sept. 17 – Regular Class Schedule
📌 Sept. 18 – Buwan ng Wika Celebration

Our postponed Buwan ng Wika Celebration will follow the previously communicated schedule and program.

ANNOUNCEMENT

In line with government directives on alternative work arrangements and learning modes due to the continued effects of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), please be advised of the following:

1. No Face-to-Face Classes – September 10

Face-to-face classes are not allowed today, September 10. Classes for Preschool to Grade 10 will shift to asynchronous learning to allow learners to review and prepare for the Term 1 Examinations. Learners are expected to focus on the review materials and instructions provided by their respective teachers.

For SPED learners, instructions and learning materials will be provided through their respective Group Chats.

2. Rescheduling of Term 1 Examinations

The Day 2 examinations for Preschool to Grade 10 scheduled for September 10 are canceled and rescheduled to Friday, September 11.

The Day 3 examinations will be moved to Saturday, September 12.

Please stay safe, take care, and study well for your Term 1 Examinations.

It’s exam week, SMA Stars! Time to show what you’ve learned and give it your best! As you prepare for your First Term Examination, keep these 5 tips in mind:

• Review your lessons.
• Get enough sleep.
• Eat a healthy meal.
• Read each question carefully.
• Stay calm and believe in yourself!

Take a deep breath, trust your preparation, and remember that every effort counts. You’ve got this, SMAers!
