ANG DISKRIMINASYON AY HINDI PATAKARAN. ITO AY PANANAKIT NA MAY PIRMA AT SELYO NG INSTITUSYON.

May mga patakaran na dapat ipagpatuloy. May mga patakarang dapat ikahiya. Ang bagong CPTED Rules and Regulations ay kabilang sa huli.

Sa ilalim ng patakarang ito, ipinagbabawal ang pagsusuot ng hikaw, make-up, at lipstick sa mga lalaking estudyante. Ipinipilit ang isang partikular na gupit ng buhok: maikli, hindi hihipo sa kwelyo, hindi tatakip sa tenga. Ipinagbabawal din ang cross-dressing, depende na lamang kung mayroong okasyon tulad ng College Night o Students’ Ball, na parang ang pagkatao ng isang tao ay bagay lamang na maaaring i-on and i-off depende sa kalendaryo ng eskwelahan.

Gayunpaman, mariing tumitindig ang BSP 2E na ang patakarang inilahad ng nasabing kolehiyo ay wala sa lingid ng disiplina o propesyonalismo. Ito ay lantarang pagpilit sa mga estudyante, lalo na sa mga transgender at gender non-conforming (TGNC), na umangkop sa isang anyo ng pagkatao na hindi kanila, sa loob mismo ng institusyong “tumataguyod” ng safe space para sa lahat.

Mas nakakadismaya na ang polisiyang ito ay galing sa College of Professional Teacher Education (CPTED) — ang kolehiyong dapat sanang huwaran ng inclusive at child-centered na pagtuturo. Paano nga naman kasi matuturuan ang mga hinaharap na g**o na maging inklusibo, kung ang institusyon mismo ay hindi kayang maging inklusibo sa sarili nitong mga mag-aaral?

Mayroon naman nang batas na sumasalungat mismo sa ganitong mga probisyon. Kinikilala ng Republic Act No. 11313 o Safe Spaces Act ang gender identity and expression bilang karapatan, kasama na ang paraan ng pananamit at pagpapahayag. Kinikilala rin ito ng lokal na ordinansa ng Lungsod ng Malolos, na nagbabawal sa diskriminasyon batay sa SOGIESC. Kaya bakit may patakaran pa rin na hayagang salungat dito?

Safe space? Safe space for who? Heteronormative standards ng conservatives?

“Rules are rules” ba, ika mo? Kailanman, hindi magiging tama ang isang patakaran na isinulat lamang for the sake of power-tripping. A policy is not sacred simply because it exists on paper, nor is it just simply because an institution has the authority to enforce it. The moment a policy violates a person's dignity, strips them of their right to exist as who they truly are, we do not owe it our silence. We owe it our resistance. To comply without question is to hand over our conscience to whoever holds the pen. We have both the right and the duty to challenge it.

We can still be professional by dressing up as who we are. Ang propesyonalismo ay hindi nasusukat sa uniporme, gupit, o kulay ng lipstick. Wala namang koneksyon ang gupit sa kakayahang gumawa ng lesson plan. Wala namang koneksyon ang pagsuot ng skirt o slacks sa kakayahang alagaan at turuan ang isang silid-aralan. Kung mas nababahala pa ang CPTED sa gender expression ng mga mag-aaral nito kaysa sa kung gaano sila kagaling magturo, ang problema ay sa mga namamahala nito, hindi sa estudyante.

Hindi dapat tinatakpan ng anumang polisiya ang ganda ng bahaghari.

…New lab act, new learnings and realization for us 🤓

Another secret unlocked from Ang Psych-kreto ng BSP 2E! 🔓

🧫 In July 23, BSP 2E conducted their 3rd laboratory activity entitled “Diffusion and Osmosis: Passive Movement of Solutes and Water in Biological System” instructed by Sir Dan Carlo Dela Vega.

We discovered that biology has its own way of saying, "trust the process," from seeing the setup to comprehending why substances naturally move across membranes. This activity demonstrated that solutes diffuse in areas with lower concentrations and water flows where it is needed. It's giving… "Go where you grow."

GO WHERE YOU GROW ?! (maja’s expression)

We may not get it at first, but by every observation, we can see the smallest and simplest details that reminds us that even the not noticeable movements have an important role in our lives.

Nasubok ang creativity at teamwork ng mga mag aaral ng Sikolohiya mula sa 2E sa kanilang second laboratory activity sa General zoology. Naatasan ang bawat grupo na hubugin ang mga bahagi ng isang animal cell gamit ang pagkain.

Nagkalat, naghain, at kumain.

Matapos ang mahabang proseso ng pagsasa-ayos ng mga dekorasyon, sama-sama namang pinagsaluhan ng bawat isa ang kanilang mga obra, kung saan samu't sari ang mga palamuti, at samu't sari ang dating sa labi.

Bagaman naging maingay ang mga kaganapan sa loob ng silid-aralan, hindi maitatanggi ang excitement at joy ng bawa't isa bago at matapos ang gawain.

Mula rito ay nag iiwan kami ng isang kataga;

"Mas masarap magtyaga kung may kasalo sa nilaga."

Another secret unlocked from Ang Psych-kreto ng 2E! 🔓

🔬 Better late than never, BSP 2E conducted their 1st Lab Activity in General Zoology instructed by Sir Dan Carlo Dela Vega.

What started as a simple microscope activity became an opportunity for us to discover a whole new perspective. It taught us to appreciate the incredible details that often go unnoticed by the naked eye. There were moments when we struggled to get the image into focus, adjusting the microscope repeatedly and even questioned whether we were seeing the specimen correctly. But, both things reminded us that science is driven by curiosity, careful observation, and the joy of uncovering something new.

Those moments were all part of the experience, making each discovery even more meaningful. With every observation, we realized that the smallest details often lead to the greatest insights.
