In observance of Kainang Pamilya Mahalaga Day, Malacaรฑang suspends work in government offices and classes in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) starting 1:00 p.m. today, September 28.

The suspension, under Memorandum Circular No. 136, aims to give Filipino families time to celebrate together as part of the 34th National Family Week, which designates the last week of September and its fourth Monday for the annual observance.

This day serves as a reminder that despite our duties and responsibilities, making time for our families remains important. It encourages us to set aside time to reconnect with our household, whether related by blood or not, and to share meaningful moments together. ๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ’š

Sining Sakbibi Ensembleโ€™s (SSE) 13th SEASON OPENING SALVO: ANG TUYOM by M. Manalastas officially takes the stage today, September 23, at the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Federizo Hall, CAL AVR.

Directed by Chris Dagsil and staged by Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPeA) students and alumni, the play tackles loss, grief, and maternal love, centering on the suppression of oneโ€™s feelings within a household.

College of Arts and Letters (CAL) and Cargill Philippines formalized their partnership through a coordination meeting and grant turnover for selected CAL student scholars at the BulSU E-Library AVR B today, September 22.

The initiative provides financial assistance to CAL students from various programs to help ease educational expenses and support their studies.

Moreover, the event brought together CAL administrators, student beneficiaries, and representatives from Cargill Philippines, as the students expressed their gratitude for the support extended to them.

Saring Himig strikes the winning chord! ๐ŸŽต๐Ÿ†

The Bulacan State University (BulSU) Saring Himig Chorale proudly takes home the championship title in The Voice of ASEAN: The Central Luzon Premier Chorale Competition hosted by CHEDRO III on September 14 at Trinity Hall, Hotel Seoul, Clark, Pampanga.

Under the direction of Choir Master Jeandro F. Rabang, Stephen Walter Gutierrez (BPEA 4B), Geolly Dela Cruz (BAB 3B), Russell John Ricarte (BAB 3B), and Pauleen Carrozo (BAB 3C) showcased their dedication and passion for music, bringing them to the top of the regional competition.

128th Anniversary of the Malolos Congress ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

On the 15th of September, 1898, the Philippines proved its capability for self-governance through the Malolos Congress, convened at Barasoain Church in Malolos, Bulacan. The Malolos Constitution affirmed the legitimacy of the countryโ€™s independence and led to the establishment of the First Philippine Republicโ€”the first democratic republic in Asia.

As we remember this historic moment, the Department of Communication and Performing Arts (DCPA) proudly joins the nation in commemorating the 128th anniversary of the Malolos Congress. May this historic milestone inspire us to work together toward unity, progress, and the continued pursuit of independence for our country and the Filipino people.

In observance of the 128th Anniversary of the Opening of the Malolos Congress, work and classes at the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Main Campus are suspended on Tuesday, September 15.

All other BulSU campuses will continue with their regular classes and work schedules.

Meanwhile, the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Health Facility at the Main Campus will proceed as scheduled, while the Loyalty Awards and Recognition (LAR) Steering Committee meeting is moved to September 16 at 4:00 PM.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) issues Joint Memorandum No. 22, s. 2026, announcing special arrangements following the recent flooding in Bulacan and neighboring areas today, September 12.

Under the memo, students who were unable to take their midterm examinations due to flooding may take a special exam from September 15 to 20. Students are advised to coordinate with their respective faculty members beginning September 14 in regard to the schedule and venue.

No academic penalty or deduction shall be imposed on students who missed their original examination schedule due to flooding-related circumstances.

Meanwhile, civilian attire will continue to be allowed from September 14 to 20, provided that students observe proper attire and decorum.

The University Health Break will also be observed on October 7 to 9, during which no classes, examinations, graded activities, consultations, submissions, or academic deadlines shall be scheduled.

Essential University offices will maintain a skeleton workforce during the health break to ensure the continuity of necessary services.

The University calls for the cooperation of students and personnel in observing these arrangements to support the communityโ€™s recovery and well-being.

Midterm Examination will still proceed from September 7 to 13 through face-to-face modality, according to the Bulacan State University (BulSU) Office of the University President (OUP) Memorandum No. 21.

Students who are unable to take their examinations due to circumstances caused by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) shall be allowed to take special examinations without academic penalty.

Moreover, civilian clothing may also be worn throughout the week, subject to the universityโ€™s uniform guidelines.
