๐™ƒ๐™–๐™ฅ๐™ฅ๐™š๐™ฃ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™‰๐™ค๐™ฌ | Bulacan State University (BulSU), in partnership with Synergized Macro Solutions, Inc., continues the second day of the EOMS Gap Analysis Workshop for the transition from ISO 9001:2015 to ISO 21001:2025 across the Main and External Campuses.

The second-day engagement focuses on evaluating and aligning the Educational Organization Management System (EOMS) processes of key administrative, academic, and student support offices. The activity highlights process mapping, documentation review, compliance assessment, identification of operational gaps, and opportunities for continual improvement in delivering learner-centered educational services.

The workshop covers the participation of SPDO, GADC, SPO, SDO, OCA, FAS, Academic Affairs, the different colleges, and the Graduate School under the EOMS scope.

This continuing initiative strengthens BulSUโ€™s commitment to quality assurance, operational excellence, stakeholder satisfaction, inclusive and responsive educational services, and continuous improvement in support of transformative education.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) warmly welcomed the delegation from the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) during the conduct of the Online Benchmarking Activity on WURI held on May 19, 2026. The activity served as a meaningful platform for institutional collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and the exchange of best practices in relation to the universityโ€™s initiatives and accomplishments under the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).

The presentation and discussion on WURI initiatives and institutional practices were led by Dr. Mayleen Dorcas B. Castro, Deputy Director of the International/Local Certifications & Awards (ILCA). During the session, Dr. Castro shared valuable insights on BulSUโ€™s quality assurance initiatives, innovation-driven programs, and institutional strategies that contributed to the universityโ€™s WURI-related undertakings. Through this engagement, BulSU highlighted its practices in fostering innovation, stakeholder engagement, and transformative education aligned with global standards and sustainable development goals.

Also in attendance and representing the Quality Assurance Office (QAO) was Dr. Eunice B. Custodio, who actively participated in the discussions and addressed queries during the open forum.

Representing the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) were Ms. Venice Marie Hulleza from the External and International Affairs Office / Information Unit, and Dr. Samson Lausa, Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation. Dr. Lausa also conveyed SUNNโ€™s message of gratitude and appreciation for the valuable learning experience and collaborative exchange shared during the activity.

The Bulacan State University (BulSU) formally concluded the AACCUP Online Accreditation First Survey Visit for the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE), and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep) programs of the Bustos Campus through an Exit Conference and Closing Program held on May 15, 2026, via Zoom Meeting. The activity marked the culmination of a week-long evaluation process that highlighted the universityโ€™s continuing commitment to quality assurance and academic excellence.

Conducted from May 11 to 15, 2026, the accreditation survey visit was carried out in partnership with the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines, Inc. (AACCUP). The undertaking brought together accreditors, university officials, faculty members, staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders in a collaborative effort to assess the quality and effectiveness of the universityโ€™s academic programs and support services.

Serving as AACCUP Accreditation Coordinator for the survey visit was Dr. April M. Bagon-Faeldan of Mindoro State University (MinSU). The Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering program was evaluated by the accreditation team headed by Dr. Gerry B. Estrada of North Eastern Mindanao State University (NEMSU) as Team Leader, with Engr. Joseph R. Cabalbag of Cagayan State University (CagSU) serving as Team Member. The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship program was assessed by the team led by Prof. Richard S. Celeste of Mindanao State Universityโ€“Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT), together with Dr. Jaysi T. Corpuz of Cavite State University (CavSU) as Team Member. Meanwhile, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering program was evaluated by the team headed by Engr. Rolito L. Mahaguay of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP), with Engr. Estela L. Dirain of Cagayan State University (CagSU) serving as Team Member. Prof. Lorenel D. Gako of Cebu Technological University (CTU) served as Librarian Accreditor for all three programs.

During the Exit Conference, Dr. Bagon-Faeldan delivered the General Impressions and expressed appreciation for the cooperation, preparedness, and dedication demonstrated by the BulSU Bustos Campus community throughout the accreditation process. She recognized the universityโ€™s commitment to maintaining quality standards and its efforts in strengthening instruction, research, extension, and student support services. Dr. April M. Bagon-Faeldan, also shared the collective impressions of the accreditors, who acknowledged the strengths of the programs in terms of faculty competence, student involvement, academic responsiveness, and industry-relevant curricula that contribute to the development of competent and socially responsive graduates.

In his Words of Commitment, Dr. Teody C. San Andres, University President, expressed the universityโ€™s continued dedication to providing quality education and strengthening its programs and services to better serve the needs of students and the community.

In preparation for the upcoming AACCUP 1st Survey Visit, Bulacan State University, through the initiative of the Quality Assurance Office (QAO), successfully conducted a Mock Accreditation on May 7, 2026, for selected programs under the Bustos and Meneses Campuses. The activity aimed to evaluate the readiness of the programs in terms of documentation, compliance with accreditation standards, and presentation of required evidence prior to the formal survey visit.

The mock accreditation served as an avenue for faculty members, program chairs, and administrators to collaboratively assess the strengths and areas for improvement of each program. It also reinforced the Universityโ€™s commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of relevant and excellent academic programs.

For the Bustos Campus, the programs presented for mock accreditation were the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE), Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrepreneurship). The internal accreditors assigned for the evaluation were Dr. Aimee M. Madlangbayan and Dr. Nancy M. Santiago, who provided valuable insights, recommendations, and observations to further strengthen the programsโ€™ compliance with AACCUP standards.

Meanwhile, the Meneses Campus presented the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) and Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) programs for evaluation. Serving as internal accreditor was Dr. Jovita E. Villanueva, Dean of the College of Professional Teacher Education, who shared constructive feedback and guidance to support the continuous enhancement of the programs.

Throughout the activity, the accreditors carefully reviewed accreditation documents, validated evidences, and assessed the preparedness of the concerned areas and personnel. The mock accreditation also encouraged collaboration among colleges, faculty members, and the Quality Assurance Office in ensuring that all programs are fully prepared for the upcoming accreditation survey visit.

As part of the preparations for the forthcoming AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit, the Quality Assurance Office organized a coordination meeting on May 5, 2026, for the Meneses Campus programs, namely the Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE) and Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd). The activity aimed to strengthen institutional readiness and ensure that all accreditation requirements are properly addressed prior to the scheduled evaluation.

The meeting began with an orientation on the accreditation process, including the expected schedule of activities, evaluation procedures, and responsibilities of participating offices and personnel. This provided faculty members and program representatives with a clearer understanding of the survey visit flow and the standards to be assessed by the accreditors.

Present during the meeting was the Dean, Dr. Marita R. Parobrob, together with faculty members from both programs. Also in attendance were the respective Program Chairs, Dr. Alex P. Caparas for BSCpE and Ms. Dyan Grace O. Crespo for BPEd. The Quality Assurance Office, under the leadership of Dr. Eunice Custodio, facilitated the discussions and presented important reminders and updates related to accreditation compliance.

Among the major concerns discussed were the consolidation of documentary evidence, proper organization of accreditation files, and alignment of program operations with AACCUP standards and parameters. The meeting also served as a venue for resolving concerns, clarifying accreditation guidelines, and emphasizing collaborative efforts among faculty and staff to ensure the successful conduct of the upcoming survey visit.

On May 4, 2026, the Quality Assurance Office convened a preparatory meeting in anticipation of the AACCUP Accreditation First Survey Visit for the Bustos Campus programs, namely the Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (BSIE), Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering (BSCpE), and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrepreneurship). The accreditation survey visit is scheduled to take place on May 11โ€“15, 2026. The primary objective of the meeting was to ensure the readiness of the programs in terms of documentation, compliance with accreditation standards, and overall coordination among concerned personnel.

The first part of the meeting was intended to provide an orientation on the expected flow and procedures of the upcoming accreditation visit. This aimed to familiarize all participants with the sequence of activities and evaluation processes to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated survey visit.

The meeting was attended by the Dean, Dr. Maricel Sierto, together with the faculty members of the respective programs. Also present were the Program Chairs, namely Dr. Laurence C. Espino, Program Chair of BS Entrepreneurship, and Engr. Altich Pagapat for the engineering programs. In addition, the Program Coordinator for BSIE, Engr. Angelita Amor Jonson, was in attendance. The Quality Assurance Office Director, Dr. Eunice Custodio, along with QAO members, provided updates and facilitated discussions on key areas for evaluation. Important matters such as the preparation of required evidence, organization of accreditation documents, and alignment with AACCUP standards were thoroughly discussed.

Furthermore, the session served as a venue for clarifying guidelines, addressing concerns, and reinforcing the roles and responsibilities of each participant in the accreditation process
