In accordance with the announcement of the City Mayor, Hon. Atty. Christian Natividad, classes at all levels are suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18, 2026.

In view of the suspension, work in all departments and office transactions will be conducted through alternative work arrangements. Office personnel are advised to coordinate with their respective department or unit heads regarding the work-from-home assignments and expected deliverables.

To ensure continuity of student services, the following online transactions shall remain available: Application, Assessment, Enrollment [bit.ly/LCUPEnrollment], and Payment [bit.ly/LCUPOnlinePayment].

Teachers and professors are required to provide students with appropriate assignments and reflective learning activities to support continuity of learning during the class suspension. These activities should be reasonable, purposeful, and considerate of the prevailing circumstances.

Teachers in the Basic Education Department are likewise requested to utilize the day for the preparation and completion of lessons, instructional materials, and other academic requirements in preparation for the upcoming accreditation activities next week.

All members of the LCUP community are encouraged to remain safe and continue monitoring official university announcements for further updates.
