PUBLICATIONS | Illumine 2025
On December 3, 2025, the Office of the Vice President for Research successfully brought Illumine 2025: The Consolanian Research Challenge to life.
The event saw over 50 college students showcasing their talents across four dynamic categories: Research Reels, Creative Presentations, the Research Quiz Bee, and the Research Pitch. Beyond the academic competition, the atmosphere was electric as lucky attendees took home amazing prizes during the raffle bonanza.

The Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation celebrates the success of the 6th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research Innovation held last November 27-29, 2025 at the BarCIE International Center, La Consolacion University Philippines.
With the theme "Uniting Disciplines, Transforming Societies: Research and Innovation Beyond Boundaries", more than 130 research papers were presented and 174 presenters participated in the 3-day research conference.
To make the research more exciting, several sponsors were also invited to make ICIRI 6.0 an amazing possibility such as Scuola, PowerMac and Basecamp, Phoenix Publishing House, OrangeApps, Guiguinto Printing Press, Rex Education, Firstlight, St. Andrew Publishing, Office the City Mayor Christian Natividad, and Office of the Honorable Congressman Danilo A. Domingo.
The Day 1 of the 3-day research conference featured the Plenary Session where valuable guest speakers shared their insights and expertise in relation to bolstering UN's Sustainable Development Goals. Various guest speakers were present such as Dr. Laura Iuliana Petrache, the Execture MBA, Head of Communication -AKT European, and Commision Evaluator Expert as the conference's Keynote Speaker. Dr. Gina A. Opiniano, Dr. Teody C. San Andres, and Dr. Stella Maria Galang provided valuable insights on the integration and relationship of the SDGs in the modern world and in the world of research with the alginment in their respective disciplines.
Further emphasizing the SDGs, international and local speakers provided a wider perspective on the strengthening, implementation, and integration of the SDGs with Prof. Ashok K. Balaraman and Prof. Angela Lee Siew Hoong from Malaysia; Astuti Wijayanti M.I.KOM from Indonesia; and Dr. Feorillo Petronilo Demeterio III and Fr. Jesus Jay Miranda JR., O.P., PhD from the Philippines.
Moving on to the highlight of this conference, the Day 2 opened its doors for the Parallel Sessions, an avenue for the presenters to showcase their diverse research. 6 parallel sessions were opened with each session bearing their own themes.
To extend the reach of the research conference, the OVPRI opened its Online Presentation on the Day 3 of the conference.
This research conference is not only an avenue for sharing ideas, but also a space and opportunity for increasing societal awareness.

Excitement filled the La Consolacion University campus on the first day of December as students, staff, and administrators gathered to begin the week-long celebration of the Universityโs 88th founding anniversary. For 88 years, LCUP has built a tradition of innovation and impact, strengthening its commitment to holistic education. This yearโs theme, โOne Heart, One Mission, One LCUP: Love in Action, Service in Purpose,โ brings the community together in a shared spirit of pride and gratitude while looking ahead to a future shaped by unity and meaningful service.
The day began with the opening parade for the much-awaited LCUP Sports Fest 2025, starting from Barasoain and moving along Catmon Road toward the LCUP Main Campus. Students and faculty lined the route in support, adding color and energy to the kickoff activity. Upon reaching the campus grounds, the symbolic torch lighting took place, marking the official start of the Games and Festivities.
Following the ceremonies, the 2025 PATHFit Culminating Activity took the spotlight as first-year and second-year students showcased their talent and teamwork through dynamic group performances. First-year performers brought festive energy with their routine inspired by the theme โBeat of Christmas, Moves of Fitness: A Paskong Pinoy Aerobics for Joy and Wellness.โ Meanwhile, second-year students delivered creative and socially aware routines guided by the theme โGreen Beats, Modern Moves: Dancing for Environmental Awareness.โ
Participants from CASE, CBEA, CAMP, CITE, and CITHM contributed to the program with lively numbers that highlighted school spirit, collaboration, and the vibrance of LCUP student life. The blend of athletic enthusiasm and artistic expression set a spirited tone for the weekโs activities, reflecting the communityโs shared commitment to celebrate LCUPโs legacy with both joy and purpose.
