Today, we commemorate the assassination of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino, Jr., whose personal connection to the Dominican family came at the end when his wake was held at the Santo Domingo Church, Quezon City.
His wife, the late President Corazon Cojuangco-Aquino, is a recipient of a Doctor of Laws, honoris causa, degree from UST.
