Every lesson learned, every challenge overcome, and every dream pursued has brought our fourth-year Tourism Management students closer to the moment they have been working toward.

Now, as they prepare to step beyond the classroom, a new milestone awaits.

The College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM) and the Federation of Accelerating Students (FAST) proudly present the 3rd Pinning and Send-Off Ceremony, a celebration of the students’ growth, dedication, and readiness to take on the opportunities and responsibilities of the tourism profession.

Through this ceremony, each pin becomes a symbol of the hard work that has brought them this far and the commitment they will carry as they begin their On-the-Job Training. Beyond the recognition, it marks the beginning of a new chapter where classroom lessons meet real-world experiences, and where every challenge becomes an opportunity to learn, grow, and make a difference in the industry.

𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙞𝙣 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙤𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙟𝙤𝙗

The next stop for our fourth-year Ka-Turismo is getting closer!

Yesterday, our CHTM fourth-year Tourism Management students gathered for their Student Internship Program Orientation as they prepared for their upcoming On-The-Job (OJT) Training.

Beyond the requirements and guidelines, the orientation gave students a chance to understand what it truly means to carry the hospitality and tourism mindset: being professional, resilient, responsible, and ready to learn from every experience.

With insights from CarDSIS Head Mr. Ramon M. Lazaro, Mr. John Erasmus Zagala, and a CHTM alumnus now working as a Mr. Angelo Santiago, a Cruise Sales Manager at MSC Cruises, students were given both the necessary reminders and a glimpse of what awaits them.

Soon, the uniforms will be worn, workplace doors will open, and lessons will take on a different setting. With 600 hours of internship ahead, the real learning experience is about to begin.

Yesterday, in celebration of World Teachers’ Day, the Federation of Accelerating Students of Tourism (FAST) took a simple moment to express their appreciation to our dedicated tourism educators.

With flowers in hand, our officers personally visited and gave a small token of gratitude to our tourism faculties—a simple gesture for the people who continue to share their knowledge, patience, guidance, and encouragement with every Ka-Turismo.

It may have been a simple flower, but it carried a heartfelt message: thank you for teaching, guiding, and inspiring us along the way.

What began as individual contributions has now become something much bigger.

We are grateful to everyone who took part in Phase One of HATAG: Pag-usbong ng Diwa ng Balangayan sa Pamayanang Mapagkalinga: PAMANA. Every donation, no matter the size, helped fill not only our boxes but also the purpose behind this initiative.
