๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ: SIAP Courtesy Call and International Internship Highlights
Bulacan State University continues to broaden its global horizons as student interns from the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP) 2025-2026 successfully completed their international immersion in Rayong, Thailand.
The journey was marked by a significant courtesy visit to the Philippine Embassy in Bangkok, pursuant to CHED Memorandum Order No. 10, s. 2023. This visit allowed our interns to engage with diplomatic officials, gaining deeper insights into international collaboration and the vital role of the embassy in supporting Filipinos abroad.
Throughout their deployment under the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization (RPAO), our student-teachers from the Malolos, Bustos, Sarmiento, and Meneses campuses demonstrated excellence across four partner institutions:
- Anuban Taksin Rayong International School (ATRIS)
- Mathayom Taksin Rayong School (MTRS)
- Anuban Taksin Bankhai International School (ATBIS)
- Taksin Rayong College of Technology (TRCT)
Under the leadership of University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, BulSU remains committed to providing world-class professional growth and cultural exposure for its students. Facilitated by the Internationalization Office led by Director Dr. Eugene B. Mutuc, this initiative highlights the Universityโs success in fostering globally competent educators through the Student Internship Abroad Program (SIAP).
The program culminated in a series of teaching demonstrations where several BulSUans were recognized for their outstanding classroom delivery, proving their readiness to break boundaries in the international academic arena.

๐๐ก ๐ฃ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ฆ: Proclaimed Winners of SGE 2026 Officially Take Their Oath
Bulacan State University (BulSU) officially welcomed a new era of student leadership as the incoming Student Government (SG) officials for the Academic Year 2026-2027 took their oath of office on Wednesday, April 22, at the Valencia Hall.
The ceremony, organized by the University Commission on Student Elections (UCSE), gathered over 100 dedicated student leaders from various colleges and external campuses. These newly elected officials formally committed themselves to the responsibilities of governance and representation within the university community.
University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres graced the event, challenging the new leaders to ground their governance in collective action and purpose-driven leadership. He underscored that the success of the student body lies in their ability to move as one toward a common goal.
โHinihiling ko na magtulungan tayo [para] sa isang kaparaanang maalam na paglilingkod para sa BulSU, para sa bayan, at higit sa lahat para sa Diyos,โ he said.
Echoing this call to service, newly elected SG President Iesu Cruz delivered the closing remarks, urging his fellow leaders to focus on sustainability and student welfare. He highlighted that leadership is a privilege that must be returned through long-term solutions and impactful platforms that benefit the entire BulSUan community.

The third BulSU Tuesday Employees Assembly for April was hosted by the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CHTM).
During the Executive Committee Announcements, Main Campus Chancellor Dr. Ruben E. Borja II shared key updates regarding the facultyโs proportional vacation pay and the upcoming academic schedule. He highlighted that April 21โ22 is dedicated to grade consultations and feedback for students, while the encoding of schedules for the Post-Academic Year 2025-2026 is currently underway. Chancellor Borja also noted that local deliberations for the Graduating Class of 2026 commenced on April 20, with online enrollment for the post-academic term set for April 27โ30 in preparation for the May 4 start date.
Delivering the Presidentโs Message, Mr. Ronald Lorenzo, Director for Safety, Security, and Disaster Risk Management, shared the Parable of the Good Samaritan to emphasize the essence of service. Through the words of University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, the message reminded the community that true service is found in the small moments of helping others. As the university transitions between academic years, the President urged the faculty and staff to assist incoming freshmen during the enrollment process, ensuring that BulSU remains a community defined not just by international rankings, but by a culture of genuine compassion.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) participated in the official introduction of the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program (INTENSE Program), marking a new gateway for Filipino students to enter Taiwanโs high-growth industries.
This landmark initiative by the Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) focuses on fast-tracking careers in STEM, Finance, and Semiconductors. Beyond world-class academic training, the program offers a full support package, including tuition subsidies, living allowances, and guaranteed job placements in some of the world's most advanced technological environments.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) officially marks a new era of campus life and welfare with the groundbreaking of its Five-Storey Student Dormitory and Staff Housing Facility today, April 15, 2026, at the 25-hectare Campus 2. This milestone project, a reinforced concrete structure spanning an estimated 5,700 square meters, underscores the universityโs commitment to providing a functional and well-organized residential facility within the campus.
The landmark facility is meticulously designed to balance academic focus with personal well-being. It will house a total of 119 residential room units, featuring diverse configurationsโfrom single beds to double-deck bedsโto cater to varying occupancy requirements.
Strategically planned for comfort, each room is equipped with essential furnishings such as study tables, chairs, and wardrobe cabinets. To ensure inclusivity, the building integrates dedicated accessibility features, including PWD ramps and elevators, catering to all users regardless of mobility.Beyond its residential capacity, the structure serves as a hub for convenience and holistic development:
- Commercial and Dining: The ground floor will feature 14 commercial stall units for convenient access to goods, complemented by a primary mess hall and an additional dining space on the second floor.
- Academic and Wellness: Designated study areas from the second to the fifth floor will serve as quiet zones, while the third floor will host an activity hall and gym room to promote physical fitness and student engagement.
- Service and Spirit: The facility includes a laundry and service area for housekeeping, as well as a chapel on the fifth floor for prayer, reflection, and spiritual activities.
The ceremony was led by University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, alongside the universityโs executive council and a distinguished roster of guests, including national and local officials, and representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). The program featured the formal unveiling of the facility and the signing of plans for the capsule. The sacred rites of the blessing were solemnized by Rev. Art Concepcion, who served as the officiating minister for the groundbreaking.
Upon completion, this project is expected to provide a centralized and accessible housing option for students and staff, particularly those residing far from the university. This project stands as a testament to the universityโs ALAB core values, particularly its spirit of Bayanihan and prompt response to the evolving needs of its community.

Bulacan State University (BulSU) made a significant mark on the national stage as its student artists served as a vital force in securing the Overall Championship for Region III (Central Luzon) at the recently concluded PASUC 2026 National Culture and the Arts Festival. Held at West Visayas State University in Iloilo City, the five-day competition gathered the best talents from state universities and colleges across the Philippines to compete in various artistic categories.
The dedication and artistry of the BulSUan delegates resulted in a haul of major awards, including Champion titles in Vocal Duet, Songwriting, Dramatic Monologue, Banduria, and Extemporaneous Speech. The university also secured podium finishes as 2nd Placers in Dagliang Talumpati and Quartet, and a 3rd Placer in Street Dance. Furthermore, BulSUโs representatives stood strong as top finalists in the Show Choir and Short and Sweet Play Musical categories.
This historic victory highlights the consistent strength and resilience of the region's artists and coaches in facing intense national competition.
