Tuwing Huwebes, ating binabalikan at ginugunita ang mga natatanging Pilipinong nagbigay-dangal sa ating bayan—mga sagisag ng tapang, sakripisyo, at angking talino. Sa linggong ito, ating kilalanin si Ishmael Bernal, Pambansang Alagad ng Sining sa Pelikula.

Kilala sa kanyang matatalas at intelektwal na satira, ginamit ni Bernal ang pinilakang tabing upang ilantad ang mga realidad at isyung panlipunan sa bansa.

Ang kanyang mga walang-kapantay na obra tulad ng "Himala" at "City After Dark" ay patuloy na nagmumulat at nag-iiwan ng malalim na marka sa sining at kamalayang Pilipino.

Nawa'y magsilbing inspirasyon ang kanyang tapang sa paggamit ng sining bilang sandata ng katotohanan.

𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗦𝗨 𝗙𝗥𝗖 𝗮𝘁 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 | August 17, 2026

The Flag-Raising Ceremony for August was hosted by the Procurement Office at Valencia Hall.

In a message represented by John Ruselle Catalog from the PPSO, University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres expressed gratitude for everyone's safe return to duty following the recent typhoon and suspensions, while reminding the community to remain vigilant amid unpredictable weather, alongside extending his appreciation to those who supported affected families through the BulSU Bayanihan initiative spearheaded by the Extension Services Office.

President San Andres highlighted the College of Information and Communications Technology (CICT) for being recognized as an outstanding partner by the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Region III during its 35th Anniversary. Furthermore, he celebrated the formal signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between BulSU and the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP)—in coordination with the College of Industrial Technology (CIT)—paving the way for aviation programs at the university. He also acknowledged the faculty and staff delegation who represented BulSU at the SCUFAR Region III Sports and Cultural Festival 2026.

Concluding with an inspiring verse from Psalm 46:1–2, President San Andres urged the BulSU community to remain steadfast in faith, safety, and dedicated service.

The ceremony concluded with the singing of the BulSU March, underscoring the university’s continuing commitment to humility, passion, and faith in service to BulSU, the nation, and God.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗦𝗨 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳, 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝘆𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗻-𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀

​In response to the recent weather disturbances affecting various areas, Bulacan State University spearheaded a series of relief initiatives and bayanihan operations to extend immediate aid to hard-hit localities.

​Under the leadership of University President Dr. Teody C. San Andres, these efforts were driven by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation (OVPREI) through the Extension Services Office. Together with volunteer teams, the university mobilized essential relief packs and resources for inundated communities and vulnerable families.

​These initiatives demonstrate BulSU’s unwavering commitment to public service, social responsibility, and compassionate action in times of disaster.
