𝗙𝗘𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘
𝗣𝗮𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗺: 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮 𝗦𝗵𝗼𝘁

Decades before history carved him into thousands of textbooks, Senator Benigno Simeon "Ninoy" Aquino was a young man with a sharp journalistic mind. He was a powerful weapon in the political arena—earning a major spot in President Ferdinand Marcos Sr.’s rival list. The former president viewed him as someone mighty who could strip him out of his seat.
‎
‎After having a life-saving heart surgery in Dallas, Texas—he made a critical decision. Despite protests from his family, Ninoy decided to return to the Philippines on the 21st of August, 1983, in hopes of negotiating with Marcos. Fully aware of what could await him once he stepped foot outside the plane.
‎
‎"I’d rather die a meaningful death than a meaningless life."
‎
‎Yellow was everywhere to be found. Shirts worn by his supporters, and ribbons around the trees surrounding Manila International Airport. However, Ninoy’s hope of negotiating with Marcos was never fulfilled.

Yellow ribbons surrounding the trees around the airport were a symbol for a warm welcome. The thought directly came from the American pop song “Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree” by Tony Orlando and Dawn. Because of Ninoy being imprisoned for 7 years, they used the song’s premise as an emblem for his homecoming.

But Ninoy Aquino never got the chance to witness the warm welcome of the people who believed in him; his journey ended violently on the tarmac, shot dead just as he disembarked.

‎Fire ignited among the members of the opposition—they mourned him. Not just as a felled politician, but as the nation’s silenced voice. Ninoy died before he realized his death led to inspiring Filipinos to take a step up and overpower the dictatorship.
‎
‎In an effort to legitimize Marcos’ grip on power, he called for a snap election in 1986. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC), the official election body, proclaimed Marcos as the winner, while the National Citizens’ Movement for Free Elections (NAMFREL) reported different results showing Corazon Aquino, Ninoy’s widow and opposition candidate, ahead.

This event became a vital trigger for the EDSA People Power Revolution. Massive crowds gathered for a non-violent protest, in hopes of overthrowing President Marcos.

All of these events share a common factor—Ninoy’s assassination, which ignited the rage, courage, and patriotism of fellow Filipinos.

The primary reason why we celebrate August 21 every year as Ninoy Aquino Day is because of the impact his death had on the nation—commemorating the fallen hero who later carved his legacy onto monumental history books.

𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗢𝘂𝗿 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀

In a world filled with foreign music, dramas, and different cultures from around the globe, we continue to appreciate the beauty of diversity—but we must always remember to value our own roots first.

Language is more than words; it carries our history, traditions, and identity as a nation. This National Language Month, we honor the Filipino language and the indigenous languages that preserve the stories and heritage of our people.

Our culture is a treasure passed down through generations. By embracing our own language and traditions, we keep the voice of our nation alive and strengthen our pride as Filipinos.

Let us celebrate the richness of our language, protect our cultural identity, and share the beauty of our heritage with the world.

𝐘𝐀𝐊𝐀𝐏𝐈𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐒𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐖𝐈𝐊𝐀🇵🇭

𝐍𝐎 𝐓𝐎 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐎𝐓𝐘𝐏𝐄𝐒❗

Breaking down the barriers that holds us back! 🙅‍♂️

Gender stereotypes refers to "Boys don't cry", or "Girls are only good at cooking", it leads to limiting our potential and emotional health.

Everyone deserves the freedom to express feelings, excel in any subject, and pursue any career they choose regardless of gender,
Let's create a world where interest and effort define us, not outdated labels.

True strength isn't about hiding your emotions or fitting into a societal box, it's about authenticity. 🌟

Asking for help is a sign of strength, not a weakness for both boys and girls.

Let's teach the next generation that colors, hobbies, and career paths have no required gender.

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐰𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲?

Why should we promote Gender Equality?
So that all genders should have no arguments? So that people can no longer fight about what gender is better? 🤔

It is simply just because it is the state in which access to rights, resources, and opportunities is not determined by the individual's gender.

Gender Equality also makes sure that every one seeks peace towards each other whether if they are a men or a women.

Gender Equality also reduces some of the insecurities some individuals might have, just because some people contrasts their fellow human beings into their opposite genders.

𝘿𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙠𝙣𝙤𝙬 𝙬𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙬𝙞𝙡𝙡 𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙚𝙣 𝙞𝙛 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙨 𝙤𝙣 𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙘?

Plastics are 𝘿𝘼𝙉𝙂𝙀𝙍𝙊𝙐𝙎 and 𝙃𝘼𝙍𝙈𝙁𝙐𝙇 to the animals, environment, and also our health. Every single day, plastics are being thrown out, which leads to plastic pollution. If plastic pollution still continues, it will be a danger to the future. ‼️❌

Plastic releases toxins that harms the environment, it has microplastics that affects the human health and the environment. Plastic pollution contributes to climate change, plastics are made from fossil fuels which releases greenhouse gases. When plastics are dumped in landfills, most of it goes to the ecosystem that disrupts the habitat and harms the life of animals. 🙅🏻‍♀️🥀

𝙉𝙊 𝙏𝙊 𝙋𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙄𝘾! 𝙔𝙀𝙎 𝙏𝙊 𝙍𝙀𝙐𝙎𝘼𝘽𝙇𝙀𝙎! ⭕

Instead of using plastic, why not use eco-bags? It can help reduce pollution, save and protects the lives and habitats of animals, and decrease greenhouse gas if we use eco-bags instead of plastics. Stopping the use of plastic equals to happy environment and healthy life. Plastic has a huge impact to the environment. ❤️🌱

So instead of throwing plastic bottles, bags, and containers, why not recycle them! Recycle them into usable things like recycled planters, storage containers, and other more. Use eco-bags rather than plastics, eco-bags are very useful, it can be used everyday in grocery shopping or carrying things, it helps reduce the pollution! ♻️🛍️

Remember, plastics are harmful to the environment, reduce the use of this for a better life! ☀️🌲🏞️

𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙫𝙞𝙧𝙤𝙣𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙞𝙨 𝙢𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙣 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙩𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙨, 𝙡𝙚𝙩 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙤𝙬!
𝙀𝙉𝙑𝙄𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏?
It is the sum of all living things and as well as non-living things that surround an organism, influencing its survival, bahavior, and development. Fun fact! The word 𝙀𝙉𝙑𝙄𝙍𝙊𝙉𝙈𝙀𝙉𝙏 came from the French term "𝐄𝐍𝐕𝐈𝐑𝐎𝐍" which means surroundings. Ecology is directly linked to the environment because it primarily focuses on studying organisms. It is formed by the natural and human-made processes. 🌍🏞️

You may ask "what are these processes?", here are a few:
𝘽𝙞𝙤𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙮, the wide range of life on earth encompassing plants, animals, and microorganisms. 🧬🧫
𝙀𝙘𝙤𝙨𝙮𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨, are the groups of living things and their interaction with the environment. 🦠
𝘾𝙡𝙞𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚 𝙘𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙚, it is the gradual warming of the Earth's atmosphere and oceans due to human induced pollution. ☀️
𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, the various pollutants that cause environmental degradation. 🏭🗑️

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬? It is the process of meeting the needs of the present generation. Within its limits are economic, social, and environmental considerations. It is also the practice of growing the economy and improving human living standards while protecting ecosystems. 🌴🌲

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? First up, what is 𝘿𝙀𝙂𝙍𝘼𝘿𝘼𝙏𝙄𝙊𝙉? It is the process of something breaking down, deteriorating, or losing value. So now, what are the examples? Examples include habitat degradation, such as deforestation; air and water pollution; loss of biodiversity; and climate change that harms our ecosystems and reduces resources availability. 🍂🪾

ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪꜱ ʙᴜʟʟʏɪɴɢ?

Good day, delpips! Have you ever wondered what bullying actually means? If that’s a yes, then lend some time for us and read the definition of bullying.

Bullying is the unwanted or repeated aggressive behavior that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. It typically occurs among school-aged youth and includes direct actions (hitting, name-calling), indirect actions (spreading rumors, purposeful exclusion), and cyberbullying via digital devices.

Bullying happens because individuals seek power, social dominance, and control over others to mask their own insecurities. It peaks most frequently during early adolescence (ages 11 to 13) within school environments. It usually happens inside school campus.

Bullying causes severe and lasting impacts across mental, physical, and academic domains, affecting victims, perpetrators, and bystanders alike. Individuals subjected to bullying frequently suffer from chronic depression, generalized anxiety, low self-esteem, self-injurious behaviors, and increased risks of suicidal thoughts.
