Did you know that the Great Pyramid of Giza, built over 4,500 years ago, was one of the first examples of project management in history?

Although construction management wasn't a formal discipline at the time, the construction of the pyramid required extensive planning, organization, and management. The project involved a workforce of tens of thousands of laborers, who had to be housed, fed, and paid, and required the transportation of massive stones weighing up to 80 tons. To achieve this incredible feat, the construction team had to develop innovative techniques for quarrying, transporting, and placing the stones, and manage the logistics of the entire project. Today, the Great Pyramid stands as a testament to the power of effective project management, even in ancient times.
