Please be advised that regular face-to-face classes and work in all departments will resume tomorrow, Monday, August 24, 2026.

Students who remain affected by flooding are requested to coordinate with their respective class advisers and professors for appropriate consideration. Affected college students may temporarily attend face-to-face classes in decent civilian attire.

To accommodate students who may still have travel safety concerns, professors may utilize the Scuola Smartboards for HyFlex classes whenever feasible. Alternatively, appropriate learning activities and recorded class sessions may be provided to affected students.

The MIS is directed to ensure stable internet connectivity in all classrooms to support the seamless implementation of HyFlex classes.

In line with the University's continuing efforts to strengthen campus safety and security, all students, personnel, parents, guardians, and guests are reminded of the following protocols:

The No ID, No Entry Policy will be strictly implemented. All parents, students, and personnel must present and wear their official University IDs upon entering and while inside the campus.

Only vehicles with valid University car stickers will be allowed to enter the campus. Vehicles of college students and guests shall use the designated external parking areas.

Only parents and guardians with a valid ECE Fetcher’s ID will be permitted to pass through the security barricade near the entrance of the Mo. Rita Building, Chapel Side.

Gate 1 will serve as the designated entrance and exit for authorized vehicles. Gate 2 will remain closed indefinitely to vehicular traffic to further secure areas of the campus where students regularly stay and move.

All vehicles entering the campus are required to lower their windows and submit to visual inspection by security personnel.

The Basic Education Department is directed to strictly implement and monitor the deployment of Officers of the Hour throughout the school day.

Students shall likewise be required to use authorized exit passes whenever leaving their classrooms during class hours.

Teacher-advisers are further instructed to strictly observe and monitor proper dismissal procedures to ensure the orderly and safe release of students.

All bags, containers, storage boxes, tumblers, water bottles, and similar items shall be subject to thorough inspection at designated security checkpoints.

Students are strictly prohibited from bringing scissors, cutters, knives, sharp or pointed objects, deadly weapons, and other prohibited items inside the campus. Any prohibited item found during inspection shall be confiscated in accordance with University policies.

We ask for everyone’s full cooperation and understanding as these measures are implemented to ensure the safety and security of the entire LCUP community.

As announced by the Hon. Mayor Atty. Christian D. Natividad, classes at all levels will remain suspended tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, 2026, due to the continued effects of the Southwest Monsoon.

Furthermore, work and transactions in all departments and offices are likewise suspended tomorrow.

In view of the continued rainfall and possible flooding, everyone is reminded to observe appropriate health and safety precautions against leptospirosis and other flood- and rain-related illnesses.

Avoid wading or swimming in floodwater whenever possible, particularly when you have open wounds or cuts. If exposure to floodwater cannot be avoided, wear appropriate protective footwear and thoroughly wash exposed skin with clean water and soap afterward. Ensure that food and drinking water are safe and properly handled.

Anyone who develops fever, severe headache, muscle pain, redness of the eyes, vomiting, diarrhea, or other unusual symptoms following exposure to floodwater is advised to seek medical attention promptly.

Everyone is encouraged to remain vigilant, prioritize personal and family safety, and continue monitoring official announcements for further updates.

Furthermore, work and transactions in all departments and offices are likewise suspended.

Members of the UBMS are requested to check their respective assigned areas, when conditions safely permit, and take the necessary precautionary measures to help mitigate the possible effects of the prevailing weather conditions.
