The Malolos Congress, officially known as the National Assembly or Revolutionary Congress, was a significant milestone in the Philippine history. It officially opened on the 15th of September 1898 at Barasoain Chruch in Malolos, Bulacan. It brought together representatives from different provinces under the leadership of President Pedro Paterno.

The Congress played a vital role in shaping the nation by ratifying the Proclamation of Independence and framing the Malolos constitution, which was promulgated on January 22 the following year.
