On August 19, 2026, Sir Jonel officially took his oath as an NRCP Associate Member during the 2026 NRCP Annual Scientific Conference and 24th Mindanao Regional Cluster Assembly.

With the theme, “Bridging Diversity, Advancing Innovation: Ethical and Transdisciplinary Research for a Progressive and Sustainable Mindanao,” the conference celebrates the vital role of researchers and scientists in advancing knowledge, innovation, and sustainable development in Mindanao.

Sa temang “Wikang Filipino at AI: Kasangkapan sa Pananaliksik at Tulay sa Yaman ng Impormasyon,” ipinakita ninyo na ang wika ay hindi lamang paraan ng pakikipagkomunikasyon, kundi isang makapangyarihang daan tungo sa kaalaman, pananaliksik, pagkamalikhain, at pagkakaisa.

For the record, the said material was NOT issued, authorized, approved, or published by SPAMAST through its official page or any authorized communication channel. Any attribution of the material to the College is therefore unauthorized and without basis.

SPAMAST respects the right of individuals to express their views and raise concerns.
However, the College strongly urges the public to verify the authenticity and source of information before making statements or sharing materials that associate SPAMAST with their issuance.

SPAMAST reserves all appropriate rights and remedies under existing laws against any unauthorized use of its institutional identity and any false or misleading attribution that may cause harm to the College.

[𝑳𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒈𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒖𝒎𝒃𝒐𝒌𝒂𝒔𝒚𝒐𝒏]

MALITA, DAVAO OCCIDENTAL | Agosto 10, 2026 — Sa pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa, binigyang-diin ni Dr. Lynette A. Bontia, Pangulo ng SPAMAST, ang mahalagang papel ng wika sa panahon ng mabilis na pag-unlad ng teknolohiya.

Sa kanyang mensahe sa Buwan ng Wikang Pambansa Convocation na ginanap sa Founder’s Hall, SPAMAST, sinabi niya:

“Ang teknolohiya ay mananatiling kasangkapan lamang, ngunit ang wika ang magbibigay ng kaluluwa at konteksto sa bawat impormasyong ating matututunan.”

Binigyang-diin ni Dr. Bontia na bagama’t malaking tulong ang teknolohiya sa pagkatuto at pag-access ng impormasyon, nananatiling mahalaga ang wika upang maging makabuluhan, kontekstuwal, at makatao ang ating kaalaman.

Ang mensaheng ito ay umaayon sa SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, at SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, na nagsusulong ng dekalidad at inklusibong edukasyon, responsableng paggamit ng teknolohiya, pantay na access sa impormasyon, at makabuluhang komunikasyon para sa isang mapayapa at inklusibong lipunan.

Sa patuloy na pagyakap ng SPAMAST sa inobasyon, mananatiling mahalaga ang wika bilang tulay ng kaalaman, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan.
