The Institute of Agricultural Sciences and Development Communication (IASDC) conducted its first-ever research colloquium on May 6, 2024 at the SPAMAST-Buhangin Campus, Audiovisual Room anchored on the theme โ๐๐๐น๐๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ ๐๐๐น๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ผ๐ณ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฐ๐ต ๐๐

IASDC Dean, Dr. Elenito P. Bugawisan welcomed the plenary speaker, panelists, student-researchers, faculty and staff and optimistically shared his message of encouragement to foster a robust research culture on agricultural and development studies. Dr. Bugawisan also shared his vision on the success of more studies that contribute to the progress of communities in the province.
The plenary speaker, Assistant Professor Elizabeth Joy S. Quijano said during her speech, โIn doing, revising, editing your research paper, you do not only learn or gain knowledge but itโs the attitude that matters, because in your research you learn to be resourceful, to be resilient, which also in turn, makes you humble, and patient. In research we learn not only knowledge but also values. Our personal values like honesty, patience, humility will eventually lead us to excellence.โ
Panelists who served as judges to the research and policy brief presentations were Dr. Ariel E. San Jose of SPAMAST-OIAL, Engr. Reymart N. Ebarsabal of ABE Department of the Provincial Agriculture Office, and Municipal Agrociulturist Evelyn Gildore, MPS. The following students emerged as victors for the research, policy brief, and poster categories:
