The Southern Philippines Agri-Business, Marine and Aquatic School of Technology (SPAMAST) strongly condemns the alarming and irresponsible post circulating on the SPAMAST Confession page, containing the statement, โ€œShooting sa SPAMAST ano tara?โ€, which is clearly alarming and may be construed as an incitement to violence and a threat against members of the SPAMAST community.

Statements that encourage, suggest, or trivialize acts of violence have no place in our institution. Even when made under the guise of humor, anonymity, or banter, such statements can create fear, threaten the safety and security of students, faculty, employees, and other members of the SPAMAST community, and must be taken seriously.

The responsible use of social media carries with it the responsibility to respect the safety, dignity, and well-being of others.

SPAMAST remains committed to maintaining a safe, peaceful, and secure learning and working environment.

Appropriate measures will be undertaken to determine the circumstances surrounding the post and to refer the matter to the proper authorities, when warranted.

We urge all members of the SPAMAST community to remain vigilant, responsible, and respectful, and to immediately report any information concerning threats to the appropriate school authorities or law enforcement authorities.

The Institute of Business Management and Governance (IBMG) successfully conducted its monthly meeting of Program Heads, bringing together academic leaders to discuss key institutional concerns, program updates, and strategic initiatives geared toward enhancing the quality of instruction, research, extension, and student services.

The meeting served as a platform for collaborative planning and decision-making on matters related to academic audit recommendations, class scheduling, enrollment preparations, internationalization efforts, research and extension activities, OPCR alignment, tracer studies, and other institutional priorities.

Joining the meeting were Mr. Jesse E. Colonia, Campus Manager of SPAMASTโ€“Sta. Maria Campus, and Ms. Ana Fe U. Canasta, BSAB Representative from the SPAMAST Jose Abad Santos (JAS) Campus, whose insights and contributions enriched the discussions and strengthened inter-campus collaboration within the institution.

This activity contributes to Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through collaborative leadership, academic quality assurance, and strengthened institutional partnerships.
