Mariano Peralta School came alive with color, music, and heartfelt generosity as it hosted its Family Fun Day cm โ€œTsinelas Mula sa Pusoโ€ program, a celebration dedicated to ARAL learners and their families last February 7, 2026.

The festivities began with a motorcade parade, where each grade level proudly participated in their distinct shirt colors. The parade was made even more vibrant by the spirited performance of the school Drum and Lyre Corps, alongside faculty members, PTA officials, and families who joined in solidarity.

The opening program followed, with SPTA President Sir Norberto Cedeรฑo delivering warm and encouraging remarks. He was succeeded by School Principal Maโ€™am Charyl B. Joseph, who shared a message of support, emphasizing the value of unity and education in shaping young learners.

Excitement filled the grounds as raffle prizes brought joy to participants, while song and dance presentations from each grade level showcased the creativity and talent of the students. Adding inspiration to the day, Ms. Karla Aspacio, Program Head in Social Work, delivered a stirring message that reminded everyone of the importance of compassion and community.

A highlight of the program was the schoolโ€™s reading initiative, where ARAL learners were called one by one to read aloud before receiving their symbolic gift of slippers. This touching gesture, embodied in the project โ€œTsinelas Mula sa Puso,โ€ reflected the schoolโ€™s commitment to nurturing not only the minds but also the well-being of its learners.

The event concluded with closing remarks and a prayer, leaving the community with a sense of gratitude, joy, and renewed dedication to the learnersโ€™ journey. More than just a day of fun, the celebration stood as a testament to the power of togetherness, the beauty of giving, and the enduring spirit of education.

Mariano Peralta Elem School successfully conducted a meaningful School Learning Action Cell (SLAC) Session focused on enhancing teachersโ€™ competence in science instruction and research mentorship.

The first session highlighted โ€œStrengthening Teachersโ€™ Competence in Science Investigatory Project Development and Mentorship,โ€ facilitated by our invited resource speaker, Maโ€™am Jessa R. Diez. She shared valuable insights on guiding learners in developing meaningful and scientific investigatory projects. Her discussion provided teachers with practical strategies on how to mentor pupils effectivelyโ€”from identifying research problems to conducting experiments and presenting results. Her expertise truly inspired our teachers to further nurture young researchers in our school.

The second part of the session was the โ€œSimulation on the Utilization of Science and Mathematics Equipment Packages for Public Schools,โ€ presented by Shiella Anna Marie F. Clata. School Science Coordinator ,The simulation focused on the proper use of laboratory equipment available in the Science and Mathematics Equipment (SME) packages and how these tools can support hands-on learning aligned with the MATATAG Curriculum competencies. Teachers were able to explore practical ways of integrating laboratory activities into classroom instruction to make science learning more engaging and meaningful for our learners.

This successful SLAC session would not have been possible without the support and leadership of our School Principal, Maโ€™am Charyl B. Joseph, whose dedication to professional development continuously empowers teachers to grow and improve their teaching practices.

We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to the active and participative teachers of Mariano Peralta Elementary School for their enthusiasm, collaboration, and commitment to improving the quality of education for our learners.

Together, we continue to strengthen our capacity as educators and work hand in hand to provide quality, engaging, and research-based science education for our pupils.
