FAQ

Q1. Who is eligible to audition?
A. Any student who is currently enrolled at San Jose Community College (SJCC) is eligible to audition.

Q2. Can students who participated in the online audition still join the live audition?
A. Yes, provided that they were not selected during the online audition. Applicants who have already passed the online audition are no longer required and are not eligible to audition again during the live auditions.

Q3. Should I perform with a minus-one track or sing a ca****la?
A. Applicants are required to perform with a minus-one (instrumental) track.

Q4. Am I required to prepare two (2) songsโ€”one English and one Tagalog?
A. Yes. Applicants must prepare one (1) English song and one (1) Tagalog song. This allows the panel to evaluate vocal versatility, pronunciation, diction, musicality, and overall performance across different languages.

Q5. Are instrumentalists required to bring their own instruments?
A. Yes. Instrumentalists are expected to bring their own instruments for the audition. However, applicants auditioning as drummers or keyboardists are advised to coordinate with the SJCC Band President, William Apa, in advance, as a drum set and keyboard will not be provided during the live auditions.
