The Provincial Government of Abra announces the suspension of classes from Kindergarten to Senior High School in all public and private schools tomorrow, 12 August 2026.

College-level classes will proceed as scheduled.

Work at the Provincial Government of Abra will also resume.

For municipalities affected by the recent typhoon and the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the decision to suspend work is entrusted to the sound discretion of the respective Local Chief Executives, guided by prevailing conditions and the safety of their constituents and personnel.

Despite the cancellation of face-to-face classes today due to Typhoon Maymay, the dedicated teachers of Malibcong Integrated School continued to reach out to their learners through home visitation across the community.

This initiative reflects our commitment to ensuring that every learner receives guidance, encouragement, and support despite the challenges brought by the weather. Through these visits, teachers were able to monitor students' progress, provide learning assistance, and strengthen the partnership between the school and families.

Due to the suspension of classes for Kindergarten to Grade 10 on August 5, 2026, brought about by Tropical Storm Maymay, Malibcong Integrated School distributed Self-Learning Modules (SLMs) and Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) to learners.

Teachers also conducted monitoring to ensure that learning continued while students stayed safe at home.

Malibcong Integrated School conducted its School Intramurals 2026 with the theme, "United in Sports, Inspired to Excel: Fostering Unity, Discipline, and Sportsmanship."

The activity was successfully carried out through the collective support, cooperation, and dedication of the parents, learners, stakeholders and school personnel.

More than a celebration of sports, the event strengthened camaraderie, promoted discipline, and inspired every participant to strive for excellence both on and off the playing field.
