No face-to-face classes does not mean no learning for Gacab Primary School.

Following the suspension of classes under Memorandum Circular No. 131, the school once again implemented Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM) to ensure learning continuity. Teachers provided learning activities, maintained communication with learners, and monitored their progress through appropriate platforms and resources.

The classrooms may be quiet, but learning continues. The teachers remains committed in keeping education accessible, responsive, and uninterruptedโ€”even beyond the classroom. ๐Ÿ“šโœจ

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

๐Ÿ“ Benguet
๐Ÿ“ Ilocos Norte
๐Ÿ“ Ilocos Sur
๐Ÿ“ La Union
๐Ÿ“ Pangasinan
๐Ÿ“ Bataan
๐Ÿ“ Bulacan
๐Ÿ“ Nueva Ecija
๐Ÿ“ Pampanga
๐Ÿ“ Tarlac
๐Ÿ“ Zambales
๐Ÿ“ Batangas
๐Ÿ“ Cavite
๐Ÿ“ Laguna
๐Ÿ“ Rizal
๐Ÿ“ Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.

In view of the heavy rainfall warnings issued by PAGASA and pursuant to Office of the President Memorandum Circular No. 129, as posted by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), face-to-face classes are suspended today, ๐€๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ—, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ” (Wednesday).

Learning continues through the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

Due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the Office of the Governor suspended face-to-face classes today, August 17, 2026 in the province of Abra. Despite the suspension, learning must continue through the Alternative Delivery Mode (ADM).

To ensure learning continuity, the teachers of Gacab Primary School distributed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS) and worksheets to learners and conducted home visitations and monitoring to provide guidance and support to both learners and parents.

Even during challenging weather conditions, Gacab Primary School remains committed to ensuring that learning never stops. ๐Ÿ“šโค๏ธ

The Provincial Government of Abra suspends onsite face-to-face classes in all public and private schools from Kindergarten to Senior High School on August 17, 2026, upon the recommendation of DepEd-Abra, to ensure the safety and well-being of learners and school personnel.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Delivery Modes (ADM), when conditions permit, in accordance with DepEd guidelines.

This is pursuant to DepEd Order No. 022, s. 2024, particularly Section 1, Article I, which provides for the suspension of in-person classes during disasters and emergencies while ensuring learning continuity through appropriate alternative delivery modalities.

Gacab Primary School resumes face-to-face classes today, August 13, 2026, after the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). Our learners and school personnel are back in school, ready to continue teaching and learning in a safe and supportive environment.

With the dedication and teamwork of our school personnel, learners, and parents, learning continues despite the recent weather disturbances.

Despite the suspension of classes by the Office of the Governor due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the teachers of Gacab Primary School remain committed to ensuring learning continuity.

Teachers distributed Learning Activity Sheets (LAS)/ worksheets to learners and conducted home visitation and monitoring to provide guidance, check learnersโ€™ progress, and ensure that learning activities continue while learners remain safe in their homes.
