With immense pride, we celebrate the publication of San Isidro College's first Scopus-indexed research article, entitled "Developing Bioplastic Mulch from Kuhol (Pomacea canaliculata) Shell Chitosan with Potato Peel Starch and Rice Husk Cellulose," in the International Journal of Agricultural Technology, Volume 22, Issue 4, 2026.

This outstanding achievement was made possible by our former Senior High School students—𝐋𝐢𝐞𝐳𝐥 𝐓. 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐨, 𝐍𝐚𝐝𝐲𝐥 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐋. 𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬, 𝐌𝐲𝐡𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐚 𝐕. 𝐀𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐢, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐊𝐚𝐲𝐥𝐚 𝐏. 𝐆𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐨𝐬𝐞—𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐫. 𝐈𝐚𝐧 𝐉𝐚𝐲 𝐏. 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐝𝐨 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐡𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐥 𝐑𝐨𝐲 𝐃. 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐨, 𝐌𝐒𝐜, serving as their research advisers and co-authors.

More than two years after the manuscript was first submitted, countless rounds of revision, refinement, and careful polishing have finally borne fruit. This publication is a powerful testament to the value of perseverance, patience, teamwork, and commitment to quality research.

What began as a Senior High School research project has now earned a place in an internationally recognized academic journal—proving that young researchers, when properly guided and encouraged, can make meaningful contributions to science, sustainability, and society.

Congratulations to the student-researchers, their advisers, and the entire San Isidro College community! May this historic accomplishment inspire more Isidran researchers to pursue excellence and bring their work to the global academic community.

The safety and security of our learners, personnel, parents, visitors, and the entire school community remain a top priority of San Isidro College.

In light of the recent incident, the school is strengthening its security protocols and reinforcing preventive measures to maintain a safe, secure, peaceful, and child-friendly learning environment for everyone.

As part of these strengthened measures, everyone entering the school premises is reminded to cooperate with the following:

𝙈𝙚𝙩𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 – Students, personnel, parents, visitors, and other authorized individuals may be required to undergo metal detector screening upon entry.

𝘽𝙖𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘽𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – Bags, backpacks, packages, and other belongings will be inspected, especially during periods of heightened security.

𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙄𝘿 – Students and personnel must always wear and visibly display their school IDs while inside the campus.

𝙑𝙚𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙡𝙚 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – All vehicles entering the campus will be subject to security inspection to ensure the safety of everyone inside the school premises.

𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙝𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙄𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙨 – Fi****ms, weapons, dangerous materials, and other unauthorized items are strictly not allowed inside the school premises.

𝙑𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙩𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙡 – Guests and visitors must register, present identification when required, wear the prescribed visitor’s pass, and remain only in authorized areas.

𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙮 𝙑𝙞𝙜𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙩 – Everyone is encouraged to remain alert and immediately report any suspicious person, activity, vehicle, package, or situation to Security and Safety personnel.

𝙁𝙤𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙎𝙚𝙘𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙄𝙣𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 – All members of the school community are expected to cooperate with security inspections, emergency protocols, and the instructions of authorized school personnel.

As a Catholic educational institution, we continue to uphold a culture of faith, respect, responsibility, peace, and care for one another. Let us work together to protect our school community and ensure a safe environment for every Isidran.

Her achievement reflects dedication to research, academic excellence, and a commitment to advancing healthcare through evidence-based practice.

This accomplishment was made possible with the full support of San Isidro College administration headed by 𝐑𝐞𝐯. 𝐅𝐫. 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨 𝐇.
