BUSDI INTEGRATED SCHOOL IPED PROGRAM

Busdi Integrated School held its Consultative Advisory Body (CAB) Meeting in support of the Indigenous Peoples Education (IPED) Program, aimed at promoting the preservation and appreciation of the culture, customs, and traditions of the local Indigenous Peoples community in Busdi.

The Consultative Advisory Body (CAB) will help ensure that Indigenous knowledge and cultural practices integrated into learning materials and school activities are accurate, respectful, and aligned with the community’s customs and traditions.

The gathering also highlighted the induction of the newly appointed CAB officers, led by Chieftain Jason Menaling/Datu Man Sandigan and V-Chieftain Hon. Jose Dumala, together with members Mario Reyes Macopia, Danelo Deloso, Pateo & Rhel Adriane Yongcoon, Leon Linantad, Richel Ampildon, and Kenken Supesa.

The activity was spearheaded by School Principal Gretchen V. Catane, together with Sir Jimbert Lagunday and Ma’am Jenelyn Hingpit, who shared their valuable insights during the activity. School Principal Gretchen V. Catane also expressed her sincere gratitude to PSDS Nyms M. Docdocil and Dr. Janryl Louis L. Okit for their valuable guidance and support.

Arthur Callao of the City Engineer’s Office for their immediate response in conducting an inspection of the school’s old buildings and classrooms to assess their structural condition, safety, and suitability for occupancy.

BUSDI INTEGRATED SCHOOL CONDUCTS 2ND SPTA GENERAL ASSEMBLY

BUSDI Integrated School successfully conducted its 2nd SPTA General Assembly, attended by supportive parents, teachers, and stakeholders, highlighting the importance of strong collaboration in supporting the learners.

School Principal Ma’am Gretchen V. Catane acknowledged the vital partnership among parents, teachers, and the school in achieving the best outcomes for learners. She shared that, as the new School Principal of Busdi Integrated School, she considers her assignment a blessing and expressed her appreciation for the warm partnership and continued support of the school community.

The assembly also featured important discussions, including School-Based Immunization (SBI), with Ma’am Melanie Zate, Midwife, from the Department of Health. Updates on Awards and Recognition were presented by Ma’am Gloria Barrit, while Ma’am Erminilda Hingpit discussed the Early Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Assessment (ELLNA). Ma’am Jelly Lusac presented updates on BELA and NAT.

Reports were likewise presented by Sir Mario Macopia, SPTA President, and Jara Sagayoc, SPTA Treasurer, providing parents and stakeholders with updates on SPTA activities and accomplishments. Indeed, it was a fruitful and meaningful gathering.

Busdi Integrated School warmly welcomed its new School Principal, Ma’am Gretchen V. Catane, who began her first day by immediately connecting with the school community. She gathered both elementary and secondary teachers for a brief but meaningful conversation, fostering openness, teamwork, and collaboration.
Ma’am Gretchen also paid a courtesy call to the LGU Barangay Busdi, strengthening the partnership between the school and the local community.
Also present during the visit was PDO Sir Carl Pagaran from the Schools Division Office for monitoring, together with Administrative Officer II Ma’am Laila Mae Rozal. Meanwhile, School Nurse Carolle Rhae Portillas visited the school to conduct an orientation on the School-Based Immunization consent.
Adding to the day's activities was the distribution of school supplies to support learners in their educational journey.

𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐝𝐢 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐄𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝟐.𝟎 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠

Teachers of Busdi Integrated School (Busdi IS) participated in the TEACHERSHIP 2.0 Training organized by the Division of Malaybalay on September 9–10, 2026, together with fellow teachers from District 10.

Held at Banwag Diversifiedl Farm, Barangay Linabo, Malaybalay City, the training carried the theme, “Upskilling Teaching Competence through Competency Walkthrough and Assessment Mapping.”

The two-day training focused on strengthening teachers’ understanding of learning competencies, assessment, and reporting. Among the topics discussed were the three types of learning—knowledge, understanding, and skills—as well as cognitive taxonomies such as Bloom’s Taxonomy, the Structure of Observed Learning Outcomes (SOLO) Taxonomy, and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK).

The sessions also highlighted the importance of unpacking learning competencies and formulating probing questions to better identify what learners are expected to know, understand, and demonstrate. These approaches help teachers recalibrate learning competencies, instructional activities, and assessments to ensure that they are properly aligned with the intended learning outcomes and can better support students’ learning and performance.

The training further emphasized the goal of having one clear learning target and one convincing piece of evidence for every competency, helping teachers develop more focused and meaningful assessments.

The seminar concluded with a workshop in which participants developed summative assessments, including at least two multiple-choice questions for each competency in their respective subject areas, aligned with Bloom’s Taxonomy, the SOLO Taxonomy, and Webb’s Depth of Knowledge (DOK) framework.

Teachers were also guided in constructing quality multiple-choice test items with clear stems, appropriate answer keys, well-crafted options, and plausible distractor.

Meanwhile, District 10 also recognized its ICON Awardees during the awarding ceremony on the evening of September 9, 2026.

In connection with the previous TEACHERSHIP 1.0 Training, which focused on the Instructional Design Framework (IDF) and its 4Es, 4Cs, and 4Is, TEACHERSHIP 2.0 further strengthened teachers’ understanding of competency walkthrough and assessment mapping.

Busdi Integrated School (Busdi IS) also participated in the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on September 8, 2026, at Sumpong Central School, bringing 12 student journalists who competed in various journalism events for both the elementary and high school levels.

Among the participants, Alexcel G. Ilonen brought pride to the school after securing 5th Place in the Copyreading and Headline Writing Competition.

Meanwhile, the participation of Busdi IS student journalists in the event reflected their determination, enthusiasm, and willingness to learn and improve their skills in the field of journalism. With this year's theme, “Critical, Principled, and Accountable Journalists,” the conference challenged young journalists to be fair and responsible in their judgment of today's issues and to become agents of truth for the nation.

Busdi IS takes pride in its students' continued efforts to learn, grow, and strive for progress. While every competition brings different experiences and challenges, each opportunity serves as a stepping stone toward developing more skilled, responsible, and future-ready student journalists.

Busdi Integrated School participated in the Division Festival of Talents (DFOT) held at Bukidnon National High School today, September 12, 2026.

The school garnered recognition in two different events. In the Number Race for Key Stage 2 (Elementary), Matt Levy M. Morillo and Roland Miguel G. Dela-ogon earned 5th Place.

Meanwhile, in Likhawitan for Key Stages 3 and 4 (High School), Nichole V. Emilia, Gladyvie P. Balorio, and Maleboy Seblian secured 4th Place.

Busdi IS continues to support and hone the skills and talents of its learners by providing them with opportunities to showcase their abilities and reach their full potential.

This school year's Division Festival of Talents carries the theme, “Igniting Creativity, Honing Talents, and Building Future-Ready Learners,” which aims to help shape the lives of students and develop their skills and potential for the future.
