Simaya Integrated School ARAL Kick-off Program was successfully conducted and turned into a fruitful and meaningful event for learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders.
The activity not only highlighted the importance of academic recovery and support but also created an atmosphere of joy and excitement among the learners. Dressed in their best character outfits, the learners brought color, energy, and creativity to the celebration, making the event more vibrant and memorable.
Everyone involved—teachers, parents, and community partners—shared the same sense of fulfillment as they witnessed the learners’ active participation and genuine enjoyment.
Truly, the ARAL Kick-off served as a strong start, fostering collaboration, motivation, and commitment to help every learner succeed.

WHAT IS DEPED ARAL PROGRAM?
The DepEd ARAL Program (Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning Program) is an intervention initiative of the Department of Education. It was designed in response to the learning gaps brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic and other challenges in education.
Key points about the ARAL Program:
• ARAL stands for “Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning”.
• It focuses on bridging learning gaps in foundational skills, especially in Reading, Mathematics, and Science for Grades 1–10, and in literacy and numeracy for Kindergarten.
• The program provides targeted remediation, tutorials, and enrichment activities to help struggling learners catch up with essential competencies.
• It encourages the participation of teachers, parents, and community stakeholders to ensure learners receive holistic support.
• The goal is to accelerate learning recovery and ensure that no learner is left behind.
👉 In short, DepEd’s ARAL Program is a nationwide learning recovery initiative that supports learners in regaining and strengthening essential skills for better academic success.
