📊 Strengthening Data-Driven Local Governance

Dr. Frias served as a resource speaker during the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Training on Basic Statistics for Local Government Units, organized by the Philippine Statistics Authority.

The three-day capacity-building activity was held on March 4–6, 2026 at Loiza's Pavilion. The training aimed to enhance participants’ basic statistical knowledge and skills, equipping them with the tools needed to better analyze and utilize community data.

This initiative supports evidence-based planning and governance at the local level, in line with the implementation of Republic Act No. 11315, which institutionalizes the CBMS as a key tool for generating disaggregated data for poverty analysis and development planning.

Through activities like this, 44 personnel from 22 LGUs in the province of Bukidnon are empowered to transform community data into meaningful insights that guide responsive and inclusive local programs.
