On 16 June 2026, at the University Gymnasium, the Bukidnon State University-College of Nursing (BukSU-CON) Level 4 students, proudly known as Batch Akasi, took the stage once again as they celebrated the 𝟏𝟔𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲 with the theme, “𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙧𝙮𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙇𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙀𝙢𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡, 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙚, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙤 𝙋𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚.”

Having completed their clinical duties, Batch Akasi has gathered the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to the nursing profession. Named after 𝐀𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐢, the God of healing and sickness, the batch embraces the responsibility of bringing 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, and 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 to every life they touch.

The pins they wear and the rings placed on their fingers signify more than just completion. They serve as a reminder of the dedication, hard work, and passion that have brought them this far as they transition from student nurses into 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭, ready to heal, serve, and stand for the Filipino people.

This event would not have been possible without the collective effort and constant support of the university officials headed by Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, the dedicated staff and faculty members of the College of Nursing headed by Dr. Ma. Algerica T. Cuenco, our respected guests and stakeholders, Ms. Dawn S. Maghanoy our resource person, families, and the students. With the light of care they now carry, we wish Batch Akasi all the best in graduation, the nursing licensure examination, and the path that lies ahead.

Strengthening partnerships for student leadership and service.

The University Student Government (USG),
paid a courtesy call to University President Dr. Joy M. Mirasol. The meeting formally introduced the student leaders and advisers for Academic Year 2026–2027 providing an opportunity for discussions on student governance, leadership development, student concerns, and initial plans for the upcoming academic year.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the University Administration, especially Dr. Joy M. Mirasol, for the time, support, and guidance extended to the student leaders. We look forward to fostering a collaborative partnership in implementing initiatives that will benefit the entire student community.

The College of Nursing Student Body Organization (CON SBO) officially conducted its Turnover Ceremony on June 9, 2026, bringing together the outgoing officers of A.Y. 2025–2026 and the incoming officers of A.Y. 2026–2027, alongside CON SBO Adviser, Ms. Aubrey S. Edio.

The ceremony marked the formal transition of leadership and responsibilities, reflecting the organization's commitment to continuity, service, and student representation. It also provided an opportunity to honor the dedication and contributions of the outgoing officers while welcoming the incoming leaders who will continue to uphold the organization's mission and advance its initiatives for the College of Nursing community.
