𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓! The Division of Malaybalay City will take part in the Quarterly Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 in pursuance of NDRRMC Memorandum No. 15, s. 2026 on the following dates and times:
• 1st Quarter – March 12, 2026 | 3:30 P.M.
• 2nd Quarter – June 18, 2026 | 9:00 A.M.
• 3rd Quarter – September 10, 2026 | 2:00 P.M.
• 4th Quarter – November 5, 2026 | 9:00 A.M.

All school heads, teachers, learners, and personnel are strongly encouraged to actively join the drill. Once the alarm is heard, immediately perform the “Drop, Cover, and Hold” procedure.

Let us work together in strengthening our preparedness and ensuring the safety of everyone as one education community.

The Schools Division of Malaybalay City successfully conducted Batang Handa: Distribution of First Aid Kits to Learners at San Roque Integrated School, Malaybalay City.

Learners received individual first aid kits, were oriented on the contents and proper usage, and demonstrated basic triangular bandage techniques as part of our continuing DRRM advocacy. The activity aims to strengthen emergency preparedness and build a culture of safety and resilience among young learners.

Prepared learners today. Resilient communities tomorrow.

📢 𝗗𝗥𝗥𝗠 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗢𝗥𝗬

Following the Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) conducted tonight by the Local Government Unit (LGU), it has been decided that Nursery to Kindergarten in-person classes will be suspended tomorrow, November 25, 2025.

👉 This suspension applies only to Nursery to Kindergarten levels in both public and private schools.
👉 These classes will shift to modular distance learning to ensure the safety and continuous education of our youngest learners.

All other grade levels will proceed with their scheduled classes unless further notice is issued.

We ask for everyone’s cooperation and understanding as we prioritize the well-being of our children. Let us remain vigilant and prepared.

From November 3–6, the Schools Division of Malaybalay City proudly participated in the 2025 Regional Climate Change Caravan held at The Margarette Business Hotel, Maramag, Bukidnon. With the theme “Climate-Resilient Gulayan sa Paaralan: Ensuring Food and Sustainability for Every Learner,” the event brought together educators and advocates committed to cultivating resilience through school gardens.

A highlight of the caravan was the inspiring learning exchange at Bocboc National High School, where participants witnessed firsthand their award-winning Gulayan sa Paaralan practices—a living testament to how climate action and food security can thrive in our schools.

Together, we plant seeds of sustainability, one learner at a time. 🌿👩‍🌾👨‍🏫

PUBLIC ADVISORY: SUSPENSION OF CLASSES FOR PRE-SCHOOL, PRIMARY, AND SECONDARY LEVEL ON NOVEMBER 03, 2025 (STARTING 1:00PM) TO NOVEMBER 04, 2025

Good afternoon.
Per information from the CDRRMO, the LGU will be suspending in-person classes starting this afternoon until tomorrow (Nov. 3-4, 2025).

All School Heads are instructed to:
- Ensure the safe return of all learners to their homes
- Shift to asynchronous learning modalities
- Coordinate with teachers to provide appropriate learning modules covering today’s and tomorrow’s lessons

Let us continue to prioritize the safety and learning continuity of our students.

On October 14, 2025, during the Special Council Meeting of the Malaybalay City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) held at the People’s Hall, New City Hall, Casisang, the council officially approved the Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) under the Local DRRM Fund for Calendar Year 2026.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the CDRRMC, headed by Hon. Jay Warren R. Pabillaran, for their unwavering support to the Department of Education.

For our part, the Department of Education, Malaybalay City Division proudly championed the following PPAs:

✅ Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training for MAPEH Teachers – In compliance with RA 10871, this initiative strengthens the integration of DRRM in Basic Education.
✅ Symposium for Children on Disaster Preparedness and Climate Change Adaptation – Aimed at instilling disaster resilience and environmental awareness among our young learners.
✅ Purchase of Generator Sets – To ensure uninterrupted service delivery at the Division Office during power outages caused by emergencies.
