The Ultimate 3-Minute Challenge: Research Meets Excellence!

The Department of Sociology and Social Science cordially invites faculty members, student researchers, and guests to attend the 3-Minute Thesis (3MT) Competition to be held on April 20, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Center (AVC). This academic event highlights the research, critical thinking, and communication skills of our student researchers as they present their studies in a concise, engaging three-minute format. We are proud to announce that eight (8) competing teams will participate in this year’s competition. Each team will present its research work before a distinguished panel of evaluators.

Distinguished speakers Dr. Susan S. Olana, a passionate Bukidnon Culture Advocate, and Datu Waway Saway, an internationally recognized artist, are now sharing their powerful stories and insights on preserving the Binukid language, indigenous traditions, and the cultural identity of the Bukidnon people.

The event highlights the importance of safeguarding our heritage and keeping our culture alive for future generations.

In celebration of Anlaw ta Binukid (March 24–26, 2026), the Bukidnon State University community is invited to showcase creativity through a short promotional video highlighting the culture, identity, and academic environment of BukSU.

𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬:
• Open to bona fide students of Bukidnon State University (Elementary, High School, and College students)
• Maximum of 3 Members per team
• Create a promotional video about BukSU using Binukid dialect with English subtitles
• Highlight culture, student life, academics, or campus environment
• Video must be at least one (1) minute and thirty (30) seconds but must not exceed two (2) minutes
• Must be original with clear audio and visuals
