Faculty members from the Secondary Laboratory School and Professional Education teachers from the College of Education participated in a series of workshops on the design and implementation of the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum, held via Zoom on July 8, 2026.
Organized by Quipper through Ms. Kathlyn Apatan and Ms. April Mae Puno, the activity was led by the esteemed resource speaker, Mr. Paul Ray Mark Salsag, who facilitated the discussions and workshop sessions.
The program featured discussions on the General Shape of the Strengthened SHS Curriculum and its Instructional Design Framework. Following each session, participants completed workshop activities on the Gap Analysis Matrix, which assessed the school's readiness for curriculum implementation, and Curriculum Mapping of Unit Standards and Learning Competencies, which aligned learning standards, assessments, and instructional plans with the DepEd Curriculum Guide. After each workshop, the resource speaker provided feedback and recommendations to strengthen the school's preparations and support the effective implementation of the Strengthened SHS Curriculum.
The discussions and workshops were both informative and productive, equipping teachers with practical knowledge and planning tools to support the successful implementation of the Strengthened SHS Curriculum in the upcoming academic year.
