EARTHQUAKE SAFETY REMINDERS

Knowing what to do before, during, and after an earthquake can help save lives, so be alert and prepared! Everyone is reminded by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) to maintain composure and adhere to the necessary guidelines.

📸 [𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒] Continuing their NSTP-CWTS seminar series, the students of San Isidro College gathered last September 20, 2025 at the Sr. Mary Redempta McConnell Gymnasium for a session on 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔.

🌳 Ms. Erika L. Noblefranca, Registered Professional Forester (RPF), faculty member, and Plant Taxonomist from Central Mindanao University, delivered her talk on “Right Tree, Right Place: Planting Native Trees for a Sustainable Future.”

Her discussion shed light on the vital role of choosing native species and placing them where they thrive best—an approach that strengthens sustainability and safeguards biodiversity. 🌏✨

📸 [𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒] The NSTP-CWTS students of San Isidro College kicked off their seminar series last September 13, 2025 at the Sr. Mary Redempta McConnell Gymnasium.

The discussion zeroed in on pressing issues of 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒚:

🔹 Major Julius A. Ellezo of the 1003rd Community Defense Center and his team unpacked the role of ROTC and the ongoing West Philippine Sea dispute.

🔹 Regional Director Candido Bontogon Jr. of NICA Region X, with his colleagues, shed light on the threats of local terrorism.

The seminar marked the beginning of an eye-opening journey for SIC students, leading to a deeper civic awareness and responsibility.

For the NSTP session this coming Saturday, please be guided by the attached seating arrangement and designated areas for your attendance.

Attendance will strictly follow the schedule below:

7:30 AM – 8:10 AM : Present

8:10 AM – 8:30 AM : Late

8:30 AM onwards : Absent

All students must first proceed to their designated attendance area. After signing, kindly go directly to your assigned seats as indicated in the layout.

Please be reminded that no student will be allowed to enter without the complete NSTP uniform. Proper grooming is also required.

09042025 | The NSTP Office attended a meeting with ARD Gilbert H. Conde of the Office of Civil Defense on the activation of the National Service Reserve Corps (NSRC) under the NSTP. Also present were Mr. Alan J. Comiso, CGDH-I, CDRRMO; Mr. Kenneth Amiel M. Taylor, CDRRMO; Mr. Albert A. Celebran, NSTP Coordinator of BukSU; and Mr. Neil Ryan D. Baquiler, NSTP Faculty of BukSU. This engagement reflects the NSTP Office’s active participation and support in initiatives that strengthen civic consciousness and community preparedness.
