Ngayong Hulyo 6, samahan ang Department of Education sa paglulunsad ng School-Based Feeding Program (SBFP) for SY 2026–2027.

Layunin ng inisyatibang ito na mapabuti ang nutrisyon, kalusugan, at overall well-being ng mga batang mag-aaral, lalo na sa kanilang kritikal na taon ng paglaki. Bahagi rin ito ng mas malawak na hangarin ng pamahalaan na tugunan ang kakulangan sa early childhood care at nutrisyon, lalo na sa mga underserved communities.

Abangan ang pagbubukas ng programa dito sa DepEd Philippines ngayong Lunes.

Tara, simulan ang hakbang para sa mas malusog na kinabukasan ng bawat batang Pilipino!

🎒 SCHOOL SAFETY FIRST: New Bag Inspection Guidelines (DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026) 🎒

To keep our schools safe, peaceful, and productive, the Department of Education has released updated guidelines on ensuring a safe and motivating learning environment. Here is a quick breakdown of what you need to know about school bag inspections:

​🛡️ Why are inspections being conducted?

👉​The main purpose is to maintain a secure environment and ensure the ultimate safety and welfare of every student, teacher, staff member, and visitor on the school premises.

​📋 General Provision
▫️​Who is covered? All learners, school personnel, and visitors must submit their bags for routine entry checks at the school entrance.

​👮 Who is authorized to check?
✔️​Primary: Licensed security personnel.
✔️​Secondary (if no security is available): Designated ✔️non-teaching staff or authorized SPTA members.

​🚫 Strict Prohibitions & Non-Contact Methods
👉​Student dignity and rights are a top priority. Inspections must follow strict guidelines:

▫️ONLY Non-Contact Methods: Personnel must use electronic scanners, handheld metal detectors, or search sticks.
▫️​🚫 NO "Stop and Frisk" or Physical Pat-Downs: Physical body searches are strictly prohibited at the gates.
▫️​Avoid Touching Belongings: Personnel should avoid touching personal items unless absolutely necessary to get a clear view.

💼What happens during Full Searches?
👉​If reasonable suspicion exists, a full search cannot just happen anywhere:

✔️​The learner must be escorted properly to the Principal’s Office.
✔️​A Guidance Counselor or designated staff member must be present during the process.
