Hindi madaling maranasan ang pagyanig ng lupa sa ilalim ng ating mga paa. Marami sa atin ang nakaramdam ng takot, pangamba, at kawalan ng katiyakan. Hanggang ngayon, may ilan pa ring kinakabahan sa bawat pag-uga o tunog na kanilang naririnig. At kung ganoon ang iyong nararamdaman, normal lang iyon.

Sa mga oras na tulad nito, sana ay huwag nating kalimutang kumustahin ang isa't isa. Minsan, hindi natin kailangan ng maraming salita. Ang simpleng "Kumusta ka?" o "Nandito lang ako kung kailangan mo ng makakausap" ay malaking bagay na para sa isang taong pinipilit maging matatag.

Kung nakakaramdam ka ng pagod, lungkot, o takot, bigyan mo ang sarili mo ng panahon. Magpahinga. Makipag-usap sa pamilya, kaibigan, o mga taong pinagkakatiwalaan mo. Hindi mo kailangang dalhin mag-isa ang bigat ng iyong nararamdaman.

Sa kabila ng nangyari, nagpapasalamat tayo dahil tayo ay ligtas. At habang unti-unti nating binabangon ang ating mga tahanan at komunidad, nawa'y patuloy din nating alagaan ang ating puso at isipan.

Maaaring nayanig ang ating paligid, ngunit hindi nito kayang yanigin ang ating pananampalataya, pag-asa, at malasakit sa isa't isa.

Mag-ingat tayong lahat. Patuloy tayong manalangin, magdamayan, at magbigay ng pag-asa.

After a series of inspections due to 7.8 magnitude earthquake that hit Sarangani, General Santos City, Region XII, and some parts of Mindanao, Malapatan College of Science and Technology MalahSCI is standing still, so strong.

The LGU of Malapatan, together with the faculty and staff of Malapatan College of Science and Technology, joined 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝘂 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 in Sapu Padidu, Malapatan, Sarangani Province. Under the leadership of School Principal Antonio T. Plantar, School Principal I, the team donated cleaning materials, books, and school supplies, helping ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students.

This initiative supports Sustainable Development Goals:

SDG 4 – Quality Education: Promotes inclusive and equitable learning opportunities.
SDG 11 – Sustainable Cities and Communities: Strengthens community resilience and safety.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: Demonstrates collaboration between government, schools, and volunteers.

MALAPATAN, SARANGANI — In a significant stride toward advancing local education and human capital development, the Malapatan College of Science and Technology (MalahSCI) and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) have formalized their collaboration to establish a future Training and Assessment Center within the institution.

The strategic partnership was highlighted during a meeting held at the MMO Conference Room on June 1, 2026.

This joint initiative underscores both institutions' unwavering commitment to elevating technical education, enhancing specialized skills training, and generating robust opportunities for student advancement and community-wide economic growth. By bringing localized assessment closer to constituents, the partnership aims to equip Malapateños with competitive, industry-ready competencies.

With a shared vision for inclusive progress, MalahSCI and TESDA continue to open new pathways for academic excellence and workforce readiness, ensuring a brighter future for the municipality.

In a decisive move to uplift rural livelihoods, the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) Sargen Provincial Office and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) have partnered with the Malapatan College of Science and Technology (MalahSCI) to support the dependents of coconut farmers in Malapatan, Sarangani Province. This multi-agency collaboration officially commenced with a strategic dialogue on June 3, 2026 to establish local coordination mechanisms and community interventions. As part of the immediate rollout, the CDA is hosting a Pre-Registration Seminar to introduce structured cooperative concepts to students, while the PCA is introducing specialized agricultural scholarship opportunities under the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP). By integrating technical cooperative training with direct educational pathways, this initiative systematically empowers farming families and directly combats rural poverty (SDG 1: No Poverty). Furthermore, the specialized CFIDP scholarships safeguard equal access to quality, affordable tertiary education for vulnerable agricultural youth (SDG 4: Quality Education). This dual approach fosters decent work and inclusive economic growth by equipping the next generation of agricultural leaders with sustainable entrepreneurship and cooperative skills (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth). This milestone activity represents a powerful multi-sectoral partnership between national agencies, the local government unit, and academia to achieve shared sustainable development targets (SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals).
