The Davao del Sur School of Fisheries will be hosting a Parents' Orientation event on Friday, July 26, 2024 at 8:30 AM in the DSSF Gym. The orientation will cover relevant information and discussions, particularly regarding the start of classes for the 2024-2025 school year on July 29, 2024. All parents and guardians are highly encouraged to attend this event.

The 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗮 𝗘𝘀𝗸𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 program is an annual nationwide initiative in the Philippines that brings together various stakeholders within the school community to collaborate on preparing school facilities and resources for the upcoming academic year. This year, the theme for Brigada Eskwela 2024 is "Bayanihan para sa MATATAG na Paaralan", which emphasizes the spirit of community cooperation and collective action towards building stronger, more resilient schools.

As fisheries stakeholders, we are being called upon to actively participate in this important endeavor. Our role is to work hand-in-hand with teachers, parents, students, local government officials, and other community members to ensure our classrooms and the overall school environment are ready for the start of classes.

Some of the key activities we can expect to be involved in during the Brigada Eskwela week from July 22-27, 2024 include:

- Cleaning and organizing classrooms, libraries, computer labs, and other school facilities
- Repairing and maintaining school infrastructure like desks, blackboards, windows, etc.
- Helping set up the school grounds, gardens, and other outdoor areas
- Assisting in the distribution of school supplies, textbooks, and other learning materials
- Coordinating logistics and volunteers to support the various preparatory tasks
- Fostering a sense of community ownership and pride in the school's well-being

By working collaboratively through this "Bayanihan" spirit, we can help create a safer, cleaner, and stronger school community that is well-prepared to welcome students and teachers for the new academic year. This collective effort will go a long way in supporting the holistic development and learning experience of our future leaders and citizens.

We are pleased to announce that the enrollment for the school year 2023-2024 will begin on August 14 and run until August 25, 2023. Prospective students are encouraged to visit the enrollment office during this period and bring the necessary documents for enrollment.

The requirements include the ff:
👉 PSA-authenticated/live birth certificate
👉 SF9/report card, or ALS certification for Alternative Learning System completers (for SHS enrollees)
These documents are essential for processing enrollment and ensuring that students are placed in the appropriate grade level.

"Early Registration for SY 2023-2024"
(May 10- June 9, 2023)

In preparation for the opening of SY 2023-2024, DSSF will be conducting “Early Registration”.

Students or Parents/guardians of the following are invited to register:
✅Grade 7: Pupils who will graduate from Grade Six in S.Y. 2022-2023.
✅Grade 11: Students from Grade 10 in S.Y. 2022-2023.
✅Transferees: Students from Grade 7-Grade 11 who wish to transfer.
✅Balik-Aral: Former students who wish to go back to school.

Documents to be submitted:
📌Basic Education Enrollment Form (This can be obtained at the Guidance office)
📌Photocopy-PSA Birth Certificate
📌Original Report Card (SF9) - to be submitted during the regular enrollment period
