The idea is to be sensible about it. There’s no need to panic. Just be mindful of personal space and hygiene, and avoid unnecessary physical contact with people—especially in public. But by all means, go on with your lives. Don’t believe everything you read. And make sure you only share info from verified sources. This is called social media distancing, and you can practice it by reporting any page or source that is spreading misinformation. You should also send your family and friends PMs if you notice them sharing dubious info designed to fear monger. And lastly, don’t hoard. Because in the end, the mindless panic is a far, far greater threat than the actual virus.
