The beginning of The POTTER and The Clay Christian School was no different. Gozon ( Tia Arling to us ), at Dasmarinas Village, the majority of the descendants of spouses Ismael O. and Magdalena S. Lapus present in that gathering wholeheartedly accepted the stewardship to build and operate a Christian school as a partial tribute to GODβs faithfulness and goodness and to contribute a share in bette
r nation building. In 1996, a foundation, The POTTER and The Clay Christian School Foundation, Inc., through the help of the Law Offices of Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, was formally organized to own and operate the School. Gozon made the first crucial and substantive response by donating a large portion, 3000sq.m. of her land along Sanciangco St. Niugan, Malabon, M.M. for the school purpose. The rest of the family fell in line and marched to the beat of The Greatest Drummer. Donations in cash and in kind followed. Building plans were prepared by ALA ( Dr. Angel L. Lazaro, III ) Offices. The financial aspects and the securing of registrations, permits, certifications, etc. from various government agencies were handled by the offices of Mrs. Carolina G. Jimenez. Finally, in February 2000 the actual construction of the school building under the direct supervision of ALA Offices began. With only 4 months left until the opening of classes in June, people in the community were skeptical on the ability of the Foundation to finish and prepare the building on time for the opening of classes. Promoting the School as a good alternative to the existing schools was difficult. Being the newest kid on the block did not help. Promotions and marketing techniques were of little effect. Only the parents who have faith in the honor and commitment of the family were bold enough to enroll their children in the School. There were 18 of them, thank GOD and bless their souls. By:
