CMU I-Connect Newscast Wins at 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards

“Iskolar Konek,” the flagship newscast program of CMU I-Connect at City of Malabon University, has been recognized as one of the winners at the prestigious 12th Philippine Student Quill Awards under the Communication Skills category.

The Philippine Student Quill Awards, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines, recognizes outstanding communication programs and materials produced by students across the country.

Among over 800 entries nationwide, which underwent a rigorous evaluation process guided by IABC’s global standards, “Iskolar Konek” earned recognition for its role in delivering relevant news and producing community-oriented journalism that keeps the university community informed, engaged, and connected.

Iskolar Konek will formally receive the award during the Philippine Quill Nights Awards on August 27, 2026, at Solaire Resort in Parañaque City.

CMU I-Connect is the campus broadcasting platform of the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism program of CMU, serving as a training ground for student journalists in news production and multimedia storytelling.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, creativity, and journalistic commitment of the CMU I-Connect team.

As partners in institutional progress, the Alumni Association remains consistently dedicated to supporting the well-being and structural capability of our alma mater.

Recognizing the vital role played by our institutional workforce, we are formally turning over the operations gear to the CMU Security and General Services Department (GSD) Unit.

The donation consists of:
* 2 units of Garret Handheld Metal Detectors
* 10 pcs Heavy-Duty Raincoats
* 4 units of High-Lumen Flashlights

We thank the university administration for its continuous cultivation of a strong relationship with the alumni network. May these materials support our security and maintenance personnel in executing their essential tasks safely and effectively.

CMU’s Teacher Certificate Program (TCP) IS NOW OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT!!!


For those aiming to shift or advance into the teaching profession, the City of Malabon University brings a great opportunity through its Teacher Certificate Program (TCP). Designed specifically for graduates of non-education courses, this program provides the essential knowledge, training, and academic requirements needed to qualify for the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) and pursue a career as a licensed educator. By offering this program, CMU continues its mission to deliver accessible, quality education that empowers individuals and helps build a stronger nation.
