The Pinning and Lighting Ceremony for fourth-year Public Administration students was held at the CMU Groundsโa significant milestone that formally launches their On-the-Job Training (OJT) journey and serves as a guiding symbol for this upcoming practical phase.
Proud parents and guardians were present, where they personally pinned the commemorative pins on the students. This act recognizes the studentsโ years of dedication to their studies and serves as a symbolic gesture of guidance and support as they transition into practical service in the field.

City of Malabon University continues to uphold its commitment to academic excellence as it proudly hosted the fourth day of the International Research Conference on Building Resilient Ecosystems 2025 on November 27 at the CMU Hall. The program commenced under the guidance of Dr. Sahabil Abtuh, Program Chair of the Bachelor of Public Administration, who served as the Master of Ceremony for the dayโs event.
The opening message was delivered by Dean Arnel Basilio, followed by a special address from University President Dr. Glen De Leon, who emphasized the conferenceโs significance in advancing student research, enriching academic growth, and strengthening the universityโs active role in contributing to global knowledge development.
Representing City Administrator Dr. Alexander T. Rosete, Atty. Clemente Angel Caesar B. Sarte VI led the plenary session as the keynote speaker, offering insightful perspectives before the scheduled breakout presentations. Thesis presenters from the College of Arts and Sciences showcased the depth of their scholarly work before a distinguished panel composed of Dean Basilio, Dr. Lucilla Bondoc, Dr. Nelson Layague, Prof. Jennylyn Tan, MC, and Atty. Sarte VI, highlighting CMUโs dedication to rigorous research evaluation and mentorship.
As part of the program, selected studies from the Bachelor of Public Administration were also featured in the colloquium. These included: โThe Level of Disaster Preparedness and Readiness of the Students in Select Public Schools in the City of Malabonโ presented by Rio Desiree Q. Agapito with members John Karl O. Bajalla, Micaela D. Manansala, and Ronelyn A. Mortel; โAssessment of Livelihood of Fisherfolk of Dampalit Megadike in Malabon City: Basis for Policy Recommendation for Sustainable Livelihood Programโ presented by Juan Raphael Lardero with team members John Michael L. De Guzman, Lance Raven C. Batandolo, and Kristel Joy Basco; and "Community Perspective Among Low Income Families : Action Plan on Intervention in Poverty Alleviation" presented by Kriz Andrea De Guzman alongside members John Arvin S. Amor, Claudine Iรฑigo, and Rhealyn D. Diaz.
The day concluded with meaningful exchanges of ideas, vibrant research engagement, and strengthened motivation among students and faculty, further affirming CMUโs position as a thriving institution for academic excellence, innovation, and scholarly leadership.

ICYMI: Bachelor of Public Administration conducts its academic seminar
The Bachelor of Public Administration 4B conducted its academic seminar last November 15, 2025, titled โTech4Gov: Transforming Governance through Digital Innovationโ, held at the City of Malabon University Audio-Visual Room.
CAS Professor Reynante Isip discussed the digitalization of governance, it's impacts, and challenges. Dr. Arnel D. L. Basilio, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, graced the seminar by delivering his welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of digital integration in public governance and systems. The seminar was attended by students from Public Administration 4A, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science 2A, and faculty members from the same college.

๐๐๐๐ | Freshmen students of the City of Malabon University attended the Blue Day Celebration at the Malabon Sports Complex on November 5, 2025. The program highlighted the cityโs full scholarship for CMU students - a commitment to making quality education accessible to all.
The event was graced by Malabon City Mayor Jeannie N. Sandoval and other city officials. Also present were members of the University Management, led by University President Dr. Glen D.V. De Leon, CPA, along with college deans, program chairs, and faculty members.
