Tree Growing Activity of Luna Norte Elementary School (Luna Norte ES)
Tree Growing Activity
Luna Norte Elementary School (Luna Norte ES) conducted a Tree Growing Activity to promote environmental awareness, conservation, and community participation among learners, teachers, parents, and stakeholders. The activity aimed to help students understand the importance of trees in maintaining a healthy environment and mitigating the effects of climate change.
During the activity, participants planted various tree seedlings within and around the school premises and designated community areas. Teachers provided orientation on proper planting techniques, tree maintenance, and the benefits of reforestation. Students actively participated by preparing planting sites, planting seedlings, and watering the newly planted trees.
The Tree Growing Activity encouraged teamwork, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. It also supported the school's commitment to creating a greener and more sustainable learning environment. Through this initiative, learners gained firsthand experience in caring for nature and developed a deeper appreciation for the role of trees in providing clean air, preventing soil erosion, and enhancing biodiversity.
The activity concluded with a pledge from participants to continuously care for the planted trees and to remain advocates of environmental protection in their homes and communities.
Expected Outcomes:
•Increased environmental awareness among learners.
•Improved school and community surroundings through tree planting.
•Strengthened collaboration among school stakeholders.
