Parents' Orientation 2026

On June 10, 2026, at 1:00 PM, Tugas-Dumga Elementary School successfully conducted its Parents' Orientation to strengthen the partnership between the school and the home in ensuring the holistic development and academic success of our learners.

The orientation served as a venue to discuss important school policies, programs, expectations, and upcoming activities for School Year 2026–2027. We sincerely thank all the parents and guardians who took the time to attend and actively participate in the discussion.

Together, let us continue to build a strong partnership in providing every child with a safe, supportive, and quality learning environment.

Opening of Classes 2026
First Flag Ceremony

Tugas-Dumga Elementary School officially welcomed the opening of classes for School Year 2026–2027 through its First Flag Ceremony held on June 8, 2026. The program began with the singing of the National Anthem, followed by an opening prayer led by Mrs. Harriette T. Tafalla. The recitation of the Panatang Makabayan and Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas was led by John Anthony C. Torerss, a Grade 6 pupil, while the Aklan Hymn was played through recorded music.

Our School Principal I, Mrs. Lilian T. Tumaca, warmly welcomed the learners, parents, teachers, and guests as she shared an inspiring message, encouraging everyone to work together for a productive and meaningful school year. We were also honored by the presence of Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, Punong Barangay of Tugas, who delivered his heartfelt message of support to the school community.

The program also featured the introduction of our dedicated teaching force, where each teacher introduced themselves, their assigned grade level or subject, and coordinatorship. To promote health and wellness, selected Grade 5 and Grade 6 pupils led the Galaw Pilipinas exercise participated in by everyone.

As a highlight of the event, Certificates of Appreciation were awarded to our Brigada Eskwela 2026 Volunteers and donors in recognition of their invaluable support, generosity, and commitment in helping prepare our school for the opening of classes.

The entire program was smoothly facilitated by our emcee, Mrs. Ma. Carla T. Balona.

Our sincerest gratitude to the Tugas Barangay Council, headed by Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, for gracing our First Flag Ceremony. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Hon. Janeth E. Tabernilla, Chairperson on Education, together with the members of the Barangay Council, our Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), Barangay Health Workers (BHW), and the Tugas Barangay Tanods for their invaluable assistance in ensuring the safety, security, and smooth traffic management for our pupils, school personnel, parents, and stakeholders.

As we conclude another productive day of Brigada Eskwela 2026, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all our partners, volunteers, and stakeholders whose unwavering support and dedication continue to make our school a better place for learning.

Our sincerest appreciation goes to Alpha Phi Omega Aklan Chapter for their active participation in today's activities. We are especially grateful to Mr. Shiloh Gepilango for leading the repainting of our school gate, benches, flower boxes, and canteen, helping enhance the beauty and welcoming atmosphere of our school. We also thank them for generously sharing snacks and meals, including pancit, chicken inasal, and bottled water, for the volunteers and teaching staff.

We are likewise thankful to the Tugas Barangay Council, headed by Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, together with Hon. Joenil S. Bingco, for their valuable assistance in cleaning the HE Building and arranging the wood materials in their proper storage area, ensuring a safer and more organized school environment.

To our dedicated parents, thank you for volunteering your time and effort in cleaning the school fence, school stage, and compost pit. Your support is truly appreciated and plays an important role in preparing our school for another successful school year.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the Tugas 4Ps Association officers and members for their dedication in maintaining our Gulayan sa Paaralan and helping preserve the cleanliness and beauty of our school campus.

We also commend the Tugas Youth Council, headed by Eric T. Berlandino, under the guidance of Neil Ryan T. Tejada, for their efforts in repainting the School Office, making it more vibrant and welcoming for learners, parents, and visitors.

As we continue our journey of preparing a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for the opening of classes, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals and groups who generously shared their time, effort, and dedication during Day 4 of Brigada Eskwela 2026.

Our sincere thanks to the Tugas Barangay Council spearheaded by Punong Barangay, Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, and our hardworking Barangay Tanods for their invaluable assistance in trimming trees, improving classrooms, and helping maintain the cleanliness and safety of our school surroundings.

We are also deeply grateful to the Action of Youth for Peace and Progress (AYPP) led by Mr. Paul Guen D. Puod, for lending their helping hands to our teachers, especially those who are relocating or changing classrooms. Their support in transferring chairs and cleaning the school grounds by collecting trash has greatly contributed to our school's readiness for the opening of classes.

Special appreciation goes to our dedicated TDES Alumni Officers led by Sir William T. Fernandez, for their efforts in repainting chairs and enhancing classroom facilities through TV repairs and classroom decoration, creating a more comfortable and inspiring learning environment for our learners.

To our supportive parents and community volunteers, thank you for your continued commitment in helping keep our school clean, organized, and prepared for another productive school year.

Brigada Eskwela 2026: Day 3
June 3, 2026

The spirit of bayanihan continues to thrive as Tugas-Dumga Elementary School successfully carried out the third day of Brigada Eskwela 2026. Through the unwavering support of our stakeholders, volunteers, parents, and community partners, another productive day was dedicated to improving our school facilities and learning environment for the benefit of our learners.

Day 3 was filled with various clean-up, repair, and beautification activities. Volunteers worked together in cleaning both the interior and exterior areas of classrooms, while repairing and repainting chairs used by our Kindergarten, Grade 1, and Grade 2 learners to ensure that they are ready and comfortable for the opening of classes.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Shiloh Gepilango for his valuable contribution in repainting the calesa chairs at the Reading Park and the flower boxes within the school premises. We are equally thankful for his generous donation of one box of bottled water for our Brigada volunteers, which was greatly appreciated by everyone.

Our sincere appreciation also goes to the members of LATUTODA for their efforts in repainting the office doors and for making and painting tables for the school office. Their dedication and craftsmanship continue to contribute to the improvement of our school facilities.

We also commend the SELG Officers, led by Miss Lian Jan M. Cabhog, for actively participating in the cleaning of the school grounds and helping maintain the cleanliness of our campus.

Meanwhile, volunteers also worked on the repainting of bookshelves in the Science Classroom, giving them a refreshed and more organized appearance for the use of our learners and teachers.

Special thanks are likewise extended to the 4Ps Officers and Members for their efforts in cleaning and improving our Gulayan sa Paaralan and Herbal Garden, helping promote a greener and healthier school environment.

The school is especially grateful to all parents who generously shared their time and effort in assisting our teachers, particularly those who are transferring to new classrooms or changing room assignments to better cater to the needs of our learners. Your support and cooperation truly make a difference.

Above all, we are deeply blessed and grateful for the unexpected food donations received throughout the day. These acts of kindness and generosity served as a reminder of the strong partnership and caring spirit that exists within our community.

As we continue our Brigada Eskwela journey, we remain inspired by the collective efforts of everyone who contributes their time, resources, and talents. Together, we are building a safer, cleaner, and more conducive learning environment for every TDES learner.

The spirit of volunteerism and community partnership continued to flourish on the second day of Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Tugas-Dumga Elementary School. Through the collective efforts of our stakeholders, parents, and community partners, another productive day was dedicated to improving and beautifying our school in preparation for the opening of classes.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes to the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Dumga, spearheaded by Hon. Paolo T. Losaria, for generously sharing their time and effort in painting the school's flower boxes. Their contribution added color and beauty to our school surroundings, creating a more pleasant and welcoming environment for our learners.

We also extend our sincerest appreciation to the Lawaan-Tugas Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (LATUTODA) led by Mr. Gerry A. Estrada, for conducting grass-cutting activities in the school grounds and wedges within the school premises. Their dedication and hard work greatly contributed to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our campus. We are equally thankful for the refreshments they generously provided to all volunteers, which helped energize everyone throughout the day's activities.

ARAL SUMMER PROGRAM 2026
CLOSING PROGRAM

Tugas-Dumga Elementary School successfully conducted the Closing Program of the ARAL Summer Program 2026 on June 2, 2026, celebrating the learners' achievements and the successful completion of the summer learning intervention.

The program formally started with a Prayer and the singing of the National Anthem through a multimedia presentation. This was followed by the Welcome Remarks delivered by our School Principal I, Mrs. Lilian T. Tumaca, who expressed her gratitude to the learners, tutors, parents, and stakeholders for their unwavering support throughout the program.

One of the highlights of the activity was the inspiring presentation of the ARAL Tutees, who confidently recited the poem entitled “ARAL Program,” showcasing the knowledge, skills, and confidence they gained during the summer sessions.

The participants were also inspired by the heartfelt message of Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, Punong Barangay of Tugas, who encouraged the learners to continue valuing education and lifelong learning.

Certificates of Recognition and Participation were awarded to the ARAL Tutors and Tutees by Mrs. Lilian T. Tumaca in recognition of their dedication, commitment, and active participation in the program. An Acknowledgement Message was likewise delivered by Mrs. Amy N. Japitan, representing the parents and guardians, expressing gratitude to the school and tutors for their efforts in helping the learners improve their reading and numeracy skills.

The program concluded with the singing of the ARAL Summer Program Jingle by the ARAL Tutees, filling the venue with joy and enthusiasm.

We would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to all the parents and guardians who attended and supported the Closing Program. Your presence and encouragement greatly contributed to the success of the activity.

Brigada Eskwela 2026: Day 1

The first day of Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Tugas-Dumga Elementary School was successfully conducted through the collective efforts and unwavering support of our stakeholders, volunteers, and community partners.

The activity commenced with a prayer, followed by warm welcome greetings and words of appreciation from our School Principal I, Mrs. Lilian T. Tumaca, who expressed her gratitude to everyone who answered the call of volunteerism and community involvement. After the brief opening program, participants immediately proceeded to their assigned tasks and activities aimed at preparing the school for the upcoming school year.

Our school extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Tugas Barangay Council headed by the ever-supportive Hon. Dionito T. Tabernilla, who led the relocation and improvement of the school's flagpole. We are likewise grateful to the Dumga Barangay Council under the leadership of Hon. Leovigildo I. Villanueva for taking charge of the cleaning and enhancement of the school's compost pit.

Special thanks are also extended to our dedicated SPTA Officers, spearheaded by President Mrs. Liwayway B. Tapleras, and LATUTODA led by Mr. Gerry A. Estrada, whose members successfully completed the installation of the posts for the left-side wing extension of our school stage, an infrastructure project originally initiated by the SPTA Officers for School Year 2025-2026.

We also acknowledge the generosity of the Tugas Sangguniang Kabataan, headed by Hon. Arnel T. Tejada, Jr., for donating cleaning materials to support the maintenance of the Kindergarten to Grade 6 classrooms, office, ICT Room, and HE Building. Our sincere appreciation likewise goes to the members of Dumga 4Ps and Tugas 4Ps for their active participation in the various clean-up and improvement activities around the school.

The school is equally grateful to the outgoing SELG Officers led by Miss Jasmine Tinagan, who diligently managed the attendance and refreshments of all volunteers throughout the activity. We also thank our supportive parents, teaching personnel, and non-teaching staff for generously sharing their time, skills, and effort in making the first day of Brigada Eskwela productive and meaningful.

We are also honored by the presence of Ma'am Celia Tiongson from the Department of Agriculture–Makato and Ma'am Princess L. Sucro, 4Ps Municipal Link of Makato, whose support and encouragement strengthened the spirit of collaboration among all participants.

Furthermore, we extend our deepest appreciation to all individuals, organizations, and stakeholders who shared their blessings through donations during the first day of Brigada Eskwela. Your generosity, whether in the form of materials, supplies, services, or financial assistance, greatly contributes to our goal of providing a clean, safe, and conducive learning environment for our learners.

Tugas-Dumga Elementary School presents the schedule of activities for Brigada Eskwela 2026 from June 1–5, 2026 with the theme:
“Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”

We invite our valued stakeholders, parents, barangay officials, alumni, youth organizations, and community partners to take part in this meaningful annual activity as we work hand in hand to prepare our school for the opening of classes.
