Today, we commemorate the March 1st Independence Movement of 1919. A powerful moment when the Korean people stood together to declare their freedom.

Beyond resistance, Samiljeol reminds us of the strength of identity and language is at the heart of that identity.

The Korean language (한국어) carries the stories, struggles, and spirit of its people. During times of colonization, preserving language was preserving culture, history, and national pride.
