It is with great joy and warmest greetings that we welcome our faculty members to the College of Innovative Teacher Education (CITE) of the University of Makati!

We are truly delighted to welcome back our returning CITE Lecturer, Dr. Ryan De Una - Principal, PEMBO Elementary School, whose dedication, expertise, and commitment have already made a meaningful contribution to our college. 📣 ICYM | CITE UMak Joins Research Initiative Supporting Emerging Teacher Education Institutions

The College of Innovative Teacher Education (CITE) of the University of Makati welcomed the research team of the project entitled “Support for Emerging Philippines’ High-Potential Teacher Education Institutions for Centers of Excellence,” implemented under the Research Initiatives in Teacher Education (RITE) Year 2 of the Teacher Education Council (TEC) and jointly undertaken by the Far Eastern University Institute of Education and Bulacan State University (BulSU).

As part of the project's data-gathering activities, an in-person Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was conducted with selected administrators and faculty members of the University of Makati. The discussion gathered valuable insights on institutional practices, strengths, challenges, program development, quality assurance, institutional readiness, and support mechanisms that contribute to the development of high-performing Teacher Education Institutions.

The activity also provided an avenue for meaningful dialogue and knowledge-sharing among teacher education leaders and faculty members, with the goal of contributing to the development of evidence-based recommendations and a comprehensive support framework for emerging Teacher Education Institutions pursuing Center of Excellence (COE) status.

The CITE community is honored to contribute its experiences and perspectives to this significant national initiative in strengthening teacher education in the Philippines. Through collaboration, research, and continuous improvement, we remain committed to advancing quality teacher education and preparing future educators who can make a meaningful impact in the education sector. 🌱📖
