This is the story of IAD’s Production Design in Animation Masterclass completers: faculty member Kristian Dominick Pelayo and students Shana Caryn Gonzales and Angelika Rose Diamse.

Under the mentorship of Disney veteran Hans Bacher, they strengthened their understanding of visual storytelling and production design. A German artist and production designer, Bacher is best known for his work on Mulan (1998) and for the visual development of Disney classics such as Beauty and the Beast (1991), Aladdin (1992), The Lion King (1994), Hercules (1997), and Fantasia 2000, among others.

Synopsis
SIGNAL PENDING follows a graduating med student, Max the Bunny, who has only five minutes left and zero bars of signal to submit their thesis. Desperate, Max enlists the help of their quirky neighbors in a last-ditch quest to find a connection — even if it means chasing signal all the way to the stars (literally).

Turning Tides | Another Project Completed

Commissioned by Ayala Museum, this short AVP brings to life key figures from the early Philippine maritime encounters. That period curator Jie Ente describes as "when our ancestors actively negotiated alliances, resisted foreign ambitions, adapted new ideas, and helped shape both Philippine and global history from the 16th to the 17th century."

One month, seven student-artists, and countless hours of collaborative work later, the AVP is now ready for the museum exhibition.
