In celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, the University of Makati initiated a Podcast Competition.

The event gathered both teaching and non-teaching employees who showcased their creativity and passion for service through five-minute podcast entries centered on the theme: “Bawat Kawani, Lingkod Bayani: Puso, Dangal, at Galing para sa Bayan”.

The competition aimed to recognize the dedication of UMak employees and their unique storytelling abilities in reflecting the spirit of service in the public sector.

Halina’t makiisa sa makulay na selebrasyon ng talento at husay ng ating mga kawani.

The Human Resource Management Office, in collaboration with the College of Tourism and Hospitality Management, held the first-ever Culinary Wars as part of the 125th Civil Service Anniversary celebration.

The employees demonstrated their creativity in making a three-course meal with sardines as their main ingredient while displaying camaraderie throughout the competition.

The teams were recognized for their outstanding dishes in each category. Cluster 3, consisting of Elsie Pasion, John Garcio, Jonnalyn Seroy, and Alberto Jr. De Jesus, was awarded for having the best main course.

Cluster 4, which included Ronald De Leon, Mary Love Operio, and Maria Teresa Tabbu, received recognition for creating the best soup. Additionally, Joy Apunan, Joyce Aquino, Mitch Graza, and Romeo Reyes from Cluster 6 were honored for serving the best appetizer.
